We traveled with our 4 kids (age 4-13), so wifi was kind of important. I must say, the wifi is the best! You could even stream with no problems. They had a really nice area with giant chess/checkers, Bags, and Ladder Golf. You could tell in the summer they have a propane fire going in that area as well. I didn't go into the bathrooms, so I can't speak on those. There was a nice fenced in dog park for the furry friends too. Check in was simple, just grabbed our map tapped on the office door and found our site. It was the off season so their office hours were limited. We had a full hook up campsite. It was fairly level and came with a little patio area. There was a lot of space to park vehicles as well.I only had one con to this Campground and it was they didn't have fire rings/pits. There's probably a reason for it, but it just didn't seem like camping without them.Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone!!

Overall this was a good campground. Similar to most KOAs, it was well maintained and clean. Sites were close, but not overlapping like many we've seen. Overall a good spot for a pass through visit.

Nothing fancy about this KOA, no pools, no activities, no shaded areas. But...pull throughs are nice and long, over 60 feet, it is super close to downtown Helena, the sites are clean and level, the caretaker is friendly and the WiFi is awesome. I’d stay here again for the sheer convenience.

The only spot available at the time was electric only, back in. All that would have been fine, except it was literally packed in people in very narrow, gravel sites. You felt like you were in a parking lot. My 3 dogs didn’t do well in such close quarters with no grass or anything to lay out on. The next morning I went to the office to see what I could do. A row-end full hook up site had opened up for the remainder of the days I needed, and they kindly allowed me to credit the unused portion for my electric site towards the new site. That was a nice surprise, especially during the holiday weekend. The new site being on the end had a nice-sized grassy area and felt like I could breathe again. The dog park was nicely stocked with bags and kept very clean. Everything was kept extremely clean. The camp store had a nice selection of laundry detergents etc. This is not my style of camping but I would stay again when passing through due to the friendly staff and the extremely clean facilities.

However, it's currently a KOA in name only -- even their maps still say Lincoln Road RV Park. It lacks the amenities you'd expect from a KOA: No tent sites, no cabins, no fenced dog area, no cable TV, dated restrooms. None of those things are important to us, so we didn't miss them, but they should be charging less until those things are in place. Our price reflects 10% discount with KOA membership. That being said, the property is very clean and well maintained. The sites are level, long, and gravel with a concrete patio, picnic table, and really nice grass. Those that have stated it's a gravel parking lot are exaggerating a bit -- we've stayed in an actual gravel parking lot and this is not that. The employees are all very nice and helpful. The wifi works pretty good, which is a bonus seeing as we had terrible cell reception, even with a booster -- good enough to make calls and texts, but was intermittently dependable for anything more than that. There's a gas station/market a block up the road that has a deli counter and is sufficient for necessities. Location is great -- very close to I-15 and you can get anywhere in Helena in about 15 minutes. Laundry worked great and we were able to fill our propane. Helena is a great city to visit and we felt safe staying here and leaving our trailer to explore. If we were to pass through Helena again, we would stay here.

Found Lincoln RV Park on Campendium, however it’s no longer “Lincoln”... Welcome to Helena-KOA—. Helpful hosts, clean showers/bathrooms. Gravel pads, mostly level. Daytime road noise, quieter at night. There is some type of big equipment business in the back of the park, however we were out and about and they stopped around 5:30. Owner will accept Good Sam membership this year only (2019), because Lincoln RV Park was a Good Sam Park. 2020 it will be KOA specific. Nice place to be to visit the capital city of Montana. They like reservations but as a ‘drop-in’, we were very nicely and politely accommodated. Internet pretty good. Haven’t tried the TV, but I suspect OTA channels to be ok. They also sell propane.

Prior reviews showed a site price of approximately $42/night. I was informed by the staff person at the campground that the rates are not $60+/night because of the new KOA affiliation. Pretty pricey for an area with so many choices. We did not stay here and cannot comment on the quality of the park.

The park is very clean and well maintained. The staff are all super friendly. No noise problems at all. There is a grassy space with a tree for shade between each site. They water it every night, so the grass is nice and green (don't leave your stuff outside overnight, or it will get wet). There is an area to walk dogs, and there is a large grassy area at the back of the park if you want space for kids to run around. Each site has a picnic table but no fire ring (assuming because there are often fire bans). Bathrooms and laundry are available, but we didn't use them, so I can't comment on the condition. They also sell propane, but it's a bit overpriced. Wifi is available, and while it isn't fast, it was enough for general browsing. If you need faster speeds, I was getting ~75 mbps down and 8 mpbs up with Verizon. We used Verizon for work video calls and the Wifi for everything else. All of that said, it's still an RV park. If you're looking for a destination for camping alone, you'll probably be happier somewhere east along the water or south in the mountains. We were visiting family in Helena, so we wanted something that was nearby. This place was perfect for that. You're 10-15 min from downtown Helena. You're also right along Rt 15, so it's a good stopover if you're just passing through for a night. A lot of people seem to only stay for a day or two max, so that's probably how they're using it.No pokestops in the campground, but the gas station less than a mile down the road has 2.

The management was very responsive in calling us back and helping us find a spot when we called last minute. The park's best features are its location right off the highway, number of pull-through spaces, and reliable hook-ups and wi-fi. On the flip side, it's pretty tight between spots so depending on the size of your neighbor's rig, can feel pretty crowded or get a little loud. And, while dogs are welcomed, the dog area is barren without a lot of grass.Overall, this was a convenient stop and nice park with some limitations to be aware of.

There is a small grassy area. There is a little shade from trees but they don't block line of sight for satellite. Biggest ding is the sites are close together so when it's full it's crowded. And they stay pretty busy. The back in sites appear to be monthly or long term. They are gravel with very little spacing between sites and no grass. Electric worked fine but water pressure low sometimes. WII FI just okay – get dropped a lot and it can be slow. Verizon had 4g with 4 bars. Easy drive to shopping and downtown Helena which is very accessible. Lots of hikes in the wonderful city park. Also a great farmer's market in season. There is a bike path right outside the park that is about 3-4 miles one way. We expected to be here a couple nights and stayed 2 weeks. We would return.
