  • Good place, little high on price.

Full hook up, pull through sites. Staff could not be friendlier. Park is whisper quiet well off all roads. Only negative is that the price seems a bit high for what is here. Good place for stopping over!

There were other options but we went with this one because it was a KOA and had a pool and hot tub for us relax in so we paid up and stayed here. They charged us an extra $7 per kid on top of the nightly rate and once we got set up we went and looked around and it was a joke! The pool was closed off, half empty and green. The hot tub was closed off, the gazebo was roped off. There were no amenities. I would have rated this higher if it were listed as a normal campsite and wasn’t so expensive but this is not what the website makes it out to be. The wood bundles are $7 ea and it lasted a whole 10 minutes burning. We barely had enough time to roast hot dogs. We sent the kids inside the store to grab some paper towels as we ran out and a small roll of paper towels was $5! Where our campsite was (back by the wood wall, we were hoping it would help with the wind) was under a couple big trees and first thing in the morning it was filled with birds pooping everywhere so be prepared for that or pick a tent site on the same row as the little log cabins. This is right off the road too so there’s a bit of noise from that too.

Sites are a mix of side by side and then some larger nearly double size sites. The photo with my Sierra and Airstream is one of the double sites. They are water/elect only but I simply pulled out and dumped and re-parked. Sparking pool and restrooms. The Battle of the Greasy Grass is about 20 miles to the south. Also known as the Little Bighorn National Monument. There is another museum just south of the monument along I90 at Garryowen. Hardin has a local museum, Big Horn County Museum, that has a fascinating mix of history for the area. Each of these are worth several hours. There is a power plant about a mile east. It does hum a bit but really more gentle background noise since you are otherwise surrounded by farm fields.Hardin has several good restaurants. Check out Yelp. Verizon was 4 bars LTE 37.65/9.12 mbps down/up.

There is some kind of plant across the road with a loud humming noise that ranges from low to high. The park does not get any marks for beauty. It's basically dirt and weeds. The interior roads are narrow and tricky maneuvering a large RV. The sites are close together especially the ones that share utilities. Our site was narrow with a tree that needs some trimming. We had to park the car sideways to fit it in our spot. No Directv due to trees. They have cable but ours was fuzzy. They advertise WII FI at the site but we could never get connected. Luckily we had 4g and 4 bars with Verizon so we used our hotspot. The water pressure is very low coming in at 20psi. The brochure says they haul in their water. Maybe that accounts for the pressure somehow. There are trains in the area that you will hear throughout the day. This park must be on the way to or from somewhere because they seem to do a steady business. Apparently, many harvesters stay here as well. Pretty pricey for what you don't get.

Well, this had clean updated bathrooms, individual stalls with fiberglass showers, and campground owners/hosts that did it right. By that I mean, don't put every camper right beside each other, space them apart. I realize that this might not be possible if the campground is really full but if it is not, space the campers apart. That's what they did and it made for a very enjoyable experience. Only ding is that the dump station is located near the office and is a little awkward. However since most people may prefer full hookups, then this will not be an issue. Just didn't like the awkward placement of the dump station, which I used, thank you very much. There is a small, probably not challenging for beyond beginner, disc golf course in Hardin near the community center.
