Pluses are that it is right by the Yellowstone River, and right beside a hot springs resort (very pricey at $32 entrance fee to use the pools). Easy access to the north entrance to Yellowstone.

  • Nothing Fancy but we really enjoyed it.

Grabbed a last minute spot and were glad to have it! It's extremely hard to locate if you come in at night- GPS may take you to the cabins across the street. Dry hook up spots are grass & have zero shade- $29 after taxes. They do have water. Full hook ups are, as another review mentioned, weird, with 30 amp max service- $65 after taxes...moreGrabbed a last minute spot and were glad to have it! Full hook ups are, as another review mentioned, weird, with 30 amp max service- $65 after taxes. It's next door (same property) to Yellowstone Hot Springs which is open 1-9 pm Tuesday- Sunday. It's a total gem and really makes this place a great choice in my opinion. Location is less than 10 miles from the North Gate and Gardiner has all three services we need. Bookings in 2020 are online only and no one answered the phone. Wifi here is very good- we rarely use campground wifi but our roaming data isn't working with spotty cell signal (roaming with Sprint). I give it 5 stars for location & the hot springs. If you're looking for a sophisticated resort, look elsewhere! We've been boondocking for weeks so it's a nice change for us.

We grabbed a spot that I THINK was our reserved space, but the online reservation map is nothing like reality. The dry hookup area across the road was pretty much a field. Set up for our site was weird, power and water at opposite ends of the site. Sites are narrow, we have a 30ft airstream that was fine but I imagine anything with slides would be cozy. For the amount of sites (tent and RV) the trash area was tiny, we actually took ours with us rather than stack on the ground. We did see elk in the campground one morning, which was nice. And it’s a short hop to Gardiner, which made for easy park access. Overall, it’s fine for a place to overnight while exploring Yellowstone. But it’s a little run down, I only saw 3 picnic tables and and 2 fire rings. Also had 2 separate rigs back into the space by us in the morning and empty their tanks, then drive off. Felt weird.
