I guess that means no trees or overhead obstructions, which was fine. Concrete patio with good table and a nice looking live planted flower pot. This was a busy weekend and the wifi was working hard. Good enough for emails, but not streaming.Verizon coverage was ok, booster helped, system seemed overloaded.

Great spot for an overnight stop. Office was open late, actually had a great individual or mixed-6 beer selection, large individual bathroom/shower rooms - close to town and away from the freeway noise. Friendly staff and great communication.

The staff was very friendly. Was told they had 5G but connections were very slow. We had a spot at the rear of the property, which we liked as it gave a bit more room. NOTE: After Oct 1 they turn off water at the sites and restrooms are closed (which probably explains the reduced rate). They did offer the ability to fill tanks from the water connection at the front office.

In today’s world, more and more of us require this utility in order to conduct work-from-home while in our RVs. Unfortunately, my recent experience travelling across the country from KOA to KOA has led me to conclude that many KOAs advertise this utility, in order to get your business, knowing that you are unlikely to leave when you discover that their connectivity is not at all modern.

(See the photo for reference)- The campground is more or less a gravel lot with small patches of grass except for the area directly next to the office and a few sparse trees around the park.

We stayed here a few years ago, not a lot of difference this time. They have some new bathroom/showers that are outstandingly clean. The interior roads are tight, I suggest you disconnect the toad at check-in even though they will tell you you can stay connected. Gravel roads/sites, the landscaping here is in terrible condition; the grass is mostly dead (worker said their irrigation system is non-operable) and the trees and shrubs are in dire need of trimming. FHU's are mid-site, there is some daylight through the trees for satellite and/or solar systems. Staff is very helpful and the grounds are kept clean. Typical family KOA, pool, playground, limited store at the office. As with many KOA's, it is overpriced.

This KOA is not to far from Interstate 15 and Montana 12; however, the noise from vehicles is not loud. Not to bad for one night!

It was full nearly every night during our summer stay midweek. There have been improvements since we were last here. Where we stayed before has totally been redone, sites 1-25. New dirt level dirt driveways, gravel area with a cement pad, table, flower pots and two rocking chairs. Very cute. No shade though and no new trees have been planted. I am certain these sites are more expensive. The rest of the park has gravel pads, tables and grass between sites. We were here in the middle summer, so the grass was very brown. These sites are in need of attention. They are putting in a new restroom in this area. Current restrooms need updating. There is a little fenced in pet area, dump station, paved trail access, a nice visitor center is adjacent to the park, cabin rentals, pool, gift shop and a place that serves chicken. We are sensitive to road noise, but because our site was one furthest from the freeway, we did not notice the noise.

I think that in general spaces are too close together and they are too expensive for what you get and this was no different. Our spaces was very open, no trees, small grass area, and was power and electric only. For $31 a night I find that to be a raw deal. The town of Butte is fantastic. Going into historic downtown Butte is a must experience in my book. If you like to find ghost signs like we do then you will really love. I have never seen so many, well preserved ghost signs as in Butte. The campground is easy to get to, right off the freeway and only minutes from historic downtown as well as the newer parts of town where the more modern stores are. So it is very handy. You can also get right on one of the main urban trail systems for walking and biking right off the campground. So for me it gets an A+ for location, access and amenities abut a C (at best) on the actual sites and the value. If you are going there to see Butte or stopping for the night it is worth it. If your plan is to hang out at the CG to relax, I recommend finding somewhere else.Good cell coverage[Actual stay was 9/23/16]

Not sure about other options for camping near Butte, but if I was visiting the area for more than one night, I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again. Seemed fairly convenient in getting around town. The sites with the patios were empty during my stay so that could be option for an increase price. I didn't use the WiFi but the Verizon service was great.

The roads in the campground are all gravel and the sites are VERY close together. Granted we were in the cheap spots, but even the more expensive sites were only marginally better. We were close to a road and had some road noise all through the night. The more expensive side of the campground probably would have been a bit better but I am sure you still would have heard some.As I understand it the campground is under new management and they are trying to make up for several years of neglect. The playground is quite dated but served as a good distraction for a few minutes. The highlight for us was the pool. It was a great amenity that we dangled in-front of our daughter several times during the drive. She really enjoyed jumping in the pool and I think this was one of her highlights for the entire trip. They offered wifi and I could actually get a signal at my site. Power and water were reliable and the camp store was well stocked and had a laundry facility attached. There is a dump station onsite that is free for campers ($7 for guests). That night we got a recommendation for dinner from one of the KOA staff members but ended up going to Casagranda’s based on the online reviews and were very happy with our choice. We all wanted to spend more time in Butte after being there and were sad we didn't have the time to take the tour offered by the Chamber of Commerce. There is a lot of history in this town and it would be a fun city to explore a bit more.
