Issue is owners, not polite or caring. Day 1 we go to walk our dogs at dog area and they put us almost as far away from there despite our request to be close because of handicap. My lab has to go on the way there as I was walking slow with my cane going down a slope. Owner came up and n her cart and told me next time to walk faster as the dog needs to make it to the dog area. I was in shock with that statement. A few days later they area mowing and blowing of sites. They come and start our site while we are sitting outside blowing dust and dirt everywhere. So we go inside and then come out to take the dogs to dog area but we can’t because they are blowing and mowing between us and the dog area. So we take them across from our site in an open field and immediately the owner came up in his side by side yelling you can’t allow your dog to cross the gravel drive and must take to the dog area. We were told by staff and a long term camper to go there because we pick up after our dogs and the dog area is not picked up. There are no poop bags or disposal for them. If you are here with no dogs then life is good or only if you are staying a night or two while passing through.Oh and forgot to mention the cat roaming the property and marking things like our chair. Didn’t make the dogs very happy either.

This September 2021, our site was more in the interior and was shady. Each time we were led to our site to be sure all was well. We appreciated that so much. I chose this RV campground because of the good reviews and because it was right off our travel route. It proved to be a good decision. We hope to stay again in the future.

Very nicely kept park. We got one of the open space pull-thru sites, nice level gravel, FHU's. A majority of the park is in heavily treed areas with interior roads a little narrow winding through the trees. Staff was over the top friendly. Great, reasonable price, good value. Located right on the highway but noise was not an issue.

Pulled in, had a quick chat w/ the host, and was directed to our site. Host even got out of the Club Car and helped us position our rig on the site. Now that’s service! Had a bit of nav issue on a narrow gravel pitch, but got to the site & rig checked perfectly 5x5 level, making a lot less work for us. Sites and roads were well maintained, though we did hit some loose gravel in one spot. Sites are well spaced beneath white oaks and hickorys, with some lovely Ashe junipers adorning the place. In short, we liked it. Had that “foresty” feel. Hookups were quick, but sewer lines were a bit off plumb & catawampus so had to fiddle w/ that a bit. Cable and cell signal were good. Staff was friendly & helpful, and they have a good selection of RV parts on hand to fix the little things. The Bad: Aforementioned catawampus sewer connections, some of the paths were a mite narrow and tricksy to navigate, but overall an ‘over the river & through the woods’ experience. Were told advertised showers & rest rooms were offline. Didn’t much care for that, but okay for a night. Park is easily accessible on westbound lanes of highway, but not from eastbound. That’s a tight turn on a divided highway turnaround across 2 lanes of traffic — and that traffic seems disinclined to slow down for rigs crossing the road. The Ugly: Gettin’ across that highway in one piece!

In our case it rained steady for quite a long time but once it cleared the puddles subsided. Bring your own fire pit/fire ring as they do not provide one. It is right off the highway so you do hear road noise at times but overall a great campground.

Jean takes your reservations over the phone and she was also very accommodating. It's a small park and the roads are tight but we have a 44ft motor home with a toad and made it fine. They have done a nice job maintaining the roads as it's hard packed gravel. There is a section closer to the road that they use for short timers which was fine as we could get satellite tv and verizon internet with no problem. You do hear road noise but wasn't too bad. Cost was great!

A nice woodsy RV park. It's not near much of anything but it was a good stop for the one or two-night stay. Debbie the host was very nice and helpful, even trying to figure out our cable TV set up. If your traveling on or near US60 and need a place to stay, you won't be disappointed in Camelot RV Campground,

My favorite statement was "Please keep your pets moving until you reach the pet area, this may avoid accidents along the way." So make sure you move Fido right along. Some road noise but I would think that those sites in the trees would have less. Had AT&T service with no problems but I don't remember how many bars (probably 4).

Trees provide lovely shade and a barrier to road noise. Friendly campers. I would have rated Camelot a full 5 stars but there were 2 things that tweaked me. First was the man who Unexpectedly jumped in between our truck and rig to snap a picture of the license plate; “so we didn’t have to bother asking you for it” they said. I’d rather be asked thank you very much. We had just pulled up and I was getting out. How could he be sure we would remain at a full stop? Seems incredibly stupid as well as inconsiderate. Given his sudden appearance I was unquestionably startled. The second issue was the extreme pet policy. I get the “no aggressive breeds” policy. Most places follow the same. But. Seriously folks, the expectation that a dog will hold its business all the way to the designated doggy area?! Totally unrealistic. Which also severely limits any dog exercise because the dog space is not enclosed and they have to remain leashed at all times. So I walked my dog around the campground anyway. Cuz she (and I) cannot travel all day and then have no exercise. And I absolutely refuse to walk an unknown area without my dog. So, that said, beautiful place to stop or stay for a while.

Stopped for a rest from traveling and staying in state parks. Small but clean laundry and friendly staff. Sites are level and several with ample shade. Sites are kept clean and are good size. A little road noise from the highway while sitting out. Good cable tv. WiFi is Tengo which I am not a fan of anyway.
