Great getaway. Away from freeway noise but close to get back on. Lots of shopping close by. Unfortunately there is a trailer park next door but not objectionable. Full hookups, great WiFi, very friendly staff.

The park is dominated by intermediate and long term residents who were friendly and quiet. Looks like all sites including ours is a mixture of sand, pea gravel, large rocks, and clay. It had rained several hours before we arrived. We didn’t get stuck pulling into out spot but, my tow truck tires, camper tires, leveling boards, and my shoes covered with 3/4” of stick, thick clay. Very hard not to bring the mess inside. The older section roads and sites faired a little better but our site and roads were awful after a big rain. I think during drier times, most of this is not an issue. They have the usual amenities and free cable and pool.

Hosts were friendly and very helpful- 40+ cable channels only 2 worked without "snow".Internet is slowHowever it was nice to have hookups and showers after 3 days on the road.Plenty of space between rigs, but no table, and you are parked on gravel/dirt. Very little grass.

Great restaurant recommendations from these two. Will definitely be back.

And the other campers here were really friendly. Not a bad spot for an overnighter after a long day, right off the freeway (and the associated noise), which is just what we wanted when the state park we were going to ended up being full on a sunny Friday in Texas Hill Country. The sites are not terribly close together, but there isn't much to them. It's more or less your average freeway-side RV park. No playground, I didn't see much in the way of a bathroom or showers, not sure about that though. There were 6 of us, and the rate is $33 for 4. The lovely woman working up front was having trouble figuring out how much extra to charge us. She landed on $38, then said I would get a discount for having Good Same, which I guess would have been either $3.30 or $3.80, but instead she just gave up on the math and said it would just be $33. Then when I pulled out cash and didn't have any ones, she said just make it $30. So, that's why I'm dropping the two star rating! Love the kind of haggling that doesn't involve me saying anything. :)
