We had no expectations of how this would work out but Joe and KP made us very welcome. Site is tidy, a little tight but overall good value and we would certainly stay again.

This place is super clean, comfortable and friendly. The grandkids enjoyed playing at the playground and swiming in the pool. The park is also a trailhead access to some nice hiking trails. The staff were all very friendly and seemed to be long timers. Perhaps the best part though is there is absolutely no riff-raff and quiet hours are strictly enforced which all but insured a good nights sleep. Relatively big-rig friendly, a little tight but comfortable with my 42' Class A. Weekends are full, so make your reservations early but midweek is very quiet and maybe 50% occupied. Wifi works great during the week, but slows significantly on the weekend as you would expect. I would absolutely stay here again!

Most residents are seasonal and while some were friendly, they mostly kept to themselves. Train noise was fairly loud and occurred as early as 5/6AM, highway noise was not as loud, but still occurred. WiFi was awful, could barely check email/social media. Pool was nice, but very small. All in all, other than location, I can't recommend, especially at nearly $70/night (which included upcharges for kids/dogs)-- we only booked here as we didn't have any other local options for a last minute camping weekend. Also, the owner's sister (lives on site) was TRULY AWFUL-- yelled at my husband for walking our dog on her property (there were NO signs to suggest/warn not to, she literally lives IN the park, nor did our dog pee/poo on her lawn, he literally only walked there)-- and then she complained about our dogs making noise (twice, during the day, while they were inside our rig fully supervised and making zero noise)-- the staff member apologized that he had to respond to the complaint and hinted strongly that she wasn't reasonable. It IS a great/convenient location but we prefer larger spots and somewhere that a single stray bark during the day won't elicit a noise compliant and without train/road noise, especially when it is nearly double the price that we typically pay at other parks.

There are big trees all around. The owners and staff are very friendly are always busily fixing things and making the park nice. The hookups are great. The pool is nice, although a bit small for the number of people in the park. My only caveat is that the spots are a bit small for modern large rigs. You can fit, but it takes some back and forth and some tricky driving. If you are over 35 feet, you may want to consider nearby Mystic Lake, which is also very nice and has huge spots. But if you want to be close to everything without feeling like you are parked next to a highway, this is a great park for that.As a bonus, if you want to walk somewhere for a meal, nearby Tin Shed Pizza is great.
