We needed to be in the area for employment reasons yet found it almost impossible to find an RV park in MN that did not close by October 31st. Luckily we found this place. There are actually 12 RV spots (though their website says 6, they expanded recently). All sites are full hookup, though some have 50 amp and 30 amp. You kind of have to look around to see which sites have which. The best thing about the place is the lakeshore. The park is level all the way down to the water's edge, though I would estimate the sites to be about 100 ft from the lake - great so that everyone can enjoy the shoreline. There are rocks on the shoreline (no sand), but it is clear of reeds, weeds, etc. There is also a private boat launch right nearby for those with toys. The entrance to the place is the same entrance to the Lakewood Supper Club, it is a pretty steep decline to the shore. The park is to the north of the restaurant, which is also on the lake. There is a tree line that separates the RV spots from the restaurant parking lot. In the winter, the place is pretty quiet because it is only open for supper. I would expect it to be busier in the summer, thus more truck/delivery noise. It is quiet now (november). There is no office, so I recommend calling the phone number before arriving. The owner is laid back and eager to make your stay comfortable. There are a couple full-time residents, but their campers are only here at this time, not lived in. There is free wi-fi from the restaurant which is kind of slow, but we are thankful to have it nonetheless, as StraightTalk wireless on AT&T towers is 2-3 bars and spotty for making calls. There are some trees, though they tend to be on the outer edges of the sites. New trees have been planted in some areas to replace those that have died. Gravel sites. The owner said he caters to those who ice fish in the winter by allowing the owners of icehouses the ability to hookup at the sites before they drag them out onto the lake. It appears he offers something at all times of the year :)
