The site was just long enough for our 37 foot motorhome and we needed a couple boards under the front wheels in order to level. Though we did not use them, the campground offered many amenities including pool, basketball court, softball field, horseshoe pit, picnic area, play area, volleyball and more!!! It was a beautiful setting beneath large trees providing a lot of shade. One campground rule may make me reconsider staying during hot summer months. The rule states "All air conditioners must be turned off when leaving or are away from the site." I totally understand the campground owner's attempt to save cost or even possibly prevent an outage due to high demand. But we travel with cats and on a hot summer day the inside of our motorhome can exceed 100 degrees. The shade in the sites helps but it still could be difficult for pets. Fortunately when we visited it was only in the sixties and we could leave windows open since no rain was forecasted for the day we were away from the campground. The campground is in a wonderful location with Dover, Rehobeth, Cape Henlope State Park, Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Air Mobility Command Museum and much more within an hour of the campground.

Usual price would be $40. Dump station worked fine. Campground is 5 minutes away from Harrington Casino/ State Fairgrounds. Less than an hour from Rehobeth Beach and 30 mins from Dover. Sites are hard packed dirt or grass. Swimming pool (not open for the season yet. Numerous pavilions and an Activity center. Small camp store but I didn't visit. There are major grocery stores within 15 mins. Overall liked it and I'll stay there again.

  • Pleasant location with very nice staff.

It is a bit noisy with lawn mowers and other maintenance machinery running and early morning when a number of long term residents take off for work, but otherwise very pleasant and quiet when it matters. The sites are surrounded by trees which adds to the privacy. The size of the sites is typical of RV parks, but the trees make it feel more spacious. The electric boxes are relatively new and in very good condition. The sewer connection was well maintained; same for the water supply. The managers of the site, not sure if they are the owners, are extremely nice and welcoming.

  • Nice place run by genuinely good people!

On June 27, just before the July 4th holiday, our 10 day reservation at another campground was unexpectedly cancelled. We called other campgrounds in a panic, with no success. Everyone was booked. Then we called G&R Campground, and they welcomed us right in! Our expectations werent great, due to the last minute holiday thing, so we were stunned when they led us to a shaded, spacious pull-thru site, and then asked if we'd like to buy tickets to their holiday seafood "feastival". The campground was busy with an antique car show group, but it was still quiet, even on the 4th. The owners here are a family of warm, genuinely good people who make it a point to cruise through periodically throughout the day to keep an eye on things, and stop to ask if there's anything you need. The pool and bath house stayed clean. The location is quiet but close to Lewes/Rehoboth and Dover. The seafood feastival was delicious, and held in their onsite air conditioned activity hall (they're having another in Sept!). Thank you so very much, Mr. Ron and family! We recommend it to everyone heading to that area!

  • Quiet campground. Nice people.

The drive into Dover was about 20 minutes but the nearby community of Harrington provided groceries, gas, fast food, and a drug store. Not far from Delaware's best seafood restaurant, Seafood City.
