Staff is awesome. The campground is very well maintained. We have reserved a spot for two months next year already. Highly recommend this place.

Bathrooms were very clean and that says a lot because its sandy. Our site was hard to back into because there were seasonal campers with vehicles across from us but they helped us by offering to watch as we backed into the site. Bring a rug and a broom as the sand is hard to keep from tracking into the camper. The internet service was poor unless you paid for an upgrade. There were many sites that were more private but they were further from the bathroom. Campground was quiet and they pick up trash twice a day. Overall a good experience but I would let the staff pick a campsite for me next time. Maybe one a little further from the restrooms but with more privacy and easier to back into.

They now go by Starlight Campground.First the positives:-Beautiful campground and sites. Ours had a row of mature trees down each side that made the site feel very private. Our site was deep with a fire pit and picnic table.-Well maintained bathhouse-Friendly and helpful staff-Excellent cell signal( you can actually see a tower about 1/2 mile away.Nitpicky stuff:- the sites were on dirt\sand so not the most level. Our site was good enough but there were a few that I wouldn't have wanted(site sloped down from drive then back up after about 10 feet.)- the row of trees went right up to the front of the site on either end so it made backing in a little more challenging because you had to stay on the road and couldn't cut corners even a little bit.- the bathhouse was nice and generally pretty clean, but they use a giant steam cleaner so everything ends up wet.(tp that was hanging down was soggy). Also the bathhouse was a little dark, a light over the sink would have helped.- Water pressure was on the low side, especially during the weekend while busy.-Wifi was unusable, even when it wasn't busy. We could connect but pages would never come up.-we actually didn't receive our free firewood. All in all a great campground off the beaten path and we are already planning to return. Some tweaks and it will definitely earn 5 stars next time.

It’s a beautiful park with full hook ups, managed by the owners. It is neat, clean and well serviced all around. There are a number of activities for kids, firewood and ice delivery to your site, well stocked store, a swimming pool, very nice private bath rooms w/ showers and a 2 mile nature trail. The only downside is that Mancelona is a bit off the beaten track in so it’s about a 20 minute drive to Bellaire 35 minutes to Charlevoix and so on. But even with the additional travel to the areas spots, I would definitely stay here again.

Probably the best maintained property we’ve ever camped at - landscaping, pools, bathrooms, excellent. Nice privacy trees between sites, and the kids loved the pool! Well kept all around with events for the kids. Oh, and we didn’t get time to do it, but they have an RC Car track. Can’t wait to get back there, and disappointed we weren’t staying longer. We are a family of four and our reasons for giving a 4 star vs 5. Mom would like more of the forest feel (it was so well maintained, kindling was VERY hard to find!). Dad would like more for the kids to do. 9yo would like a more level site (leveling blocks is his task), 11yo would like more paved paths for doing scooter tricks ;). Great site, can’t wait to go back and drop anchor.

We camped mid-week and the park was about 10% full. Very friendly fellow at the front desk name Russ gave us a happy camper 10% discount! Well-groomed grounds, gravel drive, mostly level grassy sites with various types of pine trees scattered throughout to give privacy. They have a heated pool, tetherball, volleyball, badminton... tons of activity for the whole family! The best part for us was the gorgeous 1.8 mile nature trail behind the park which is a mowed path winding through rolling meadows and fields of pine trees. We highly recommend this park and will definitely return.
