The best camp site I’ve ever stayed. Rates are inexpensive, hot showers, water, the owner even brings out eggs from his farm sometimes. I felt totally safe and was blown away by the peacefulness I experienced. *** if you go camping over a Labor Day weekend, safe money would be on it being noisy. The owner is very vigilant about providing a conciseness environment where everyone feels welcome. Some things are outside of that control, doesn’t deserve a bad rating.

Stayed for 1 night over Labor Day weekend. Stayed in the open tent field. They advertise that it's a quiet place in the woods to rest, but it was so bad I couldn't sleep. They advertise that it's a quiet place in the woods to rest, but it was so bad I couldn't sleep. I was ready to leave and sleep in my car like I had originally planned to do. It started at about 9:30pm when all these cars started rolling in, spinning their wheels on the gravel. I was already in my tent trying to sleep. At about midnight, there was still so much noise from everyone hanging out, talking, slamming coolers shut. I heard someone say something about being drunk. There were so many people, that I had to wait in line just to go to the bathroom. Next time I'll save $15 and sleep in my car and get a good night sleep. Also note that it's $15 per person and you can't have a fire because there are no fire rings. After I left, I found a place down the road that is $10 per person for field camping and they have fire rings.

Owner was super nice, helpful, and welcoming. Sites are designed for tents or smaller rigs mostly but we managed to squeeze our 35ft TT into site 17.There is no water, sewer or electric so you must be self contained as it was designed for primitive camping. There is a bathhouse with restrooms and showers. There is also a disc golf course or you can watch the free roaming chickens. We highly recommend this campground if you're looking for friendly owners who make you feel welcome and sites that bring you back to nature and the great outdoors.Just minutes away from all kinds of trails and touristy stuff, this campground gets 5 stars from us. We will be back anytime we visit this area!
