Pool area overlooks the Grand River, as does the kid's play area and most of the RV sites. Quiet nights. The Grand Lady paddlewheel boat docks at the office for river tours. The hookups are well located at the middle of the site and the water faucet is about 3' off the ground for ease of use. WiFi in the area is a little slow. Trees nearby can be problematic for satellite reception.

Such a little gem of a campground. We weren’t really sure what to expect, but we’re pleasantly surprised. We even said we would come back specifically to stay at this campground. Grand Rapids was a great town and we loved camping right on the river. We were here only one night.

The campground is back behind a small airport - but there is hardly any air traffic. There is no camp store so make sure you have what you need or you’ll be making a trip into town which isn’t far. We would most definitely camp here again and highly recommended it. Only downside was the Covid epidemic and the Grand Lady river boat was not running. They are also adding 40 additional sites in the woods.

Pandemic check in was by phone which worked well for us. Decent Verizon and T-Mobile, but don’t rely on Sprint here. Their provided WiFi was not great. Sites are gravel, mostly level, and there are a mix of back in and pull through. They are expanding as well. This is our 4th time here and we’ll definitely be coming back.

Pretty camp spread out along the river. Tall trees next to (but not in) the camp. No wifi to speak of. Enjoyed our visit! But riverboat not operating due to COVID.GPS not exact on getting you here.Near shopping.

We had a riverfront site which was just long enough for our 35’ 5er and long bed crew cab truck. Level gravel site with easy hookups. Grass goes right down to the water (which may be higher than usual). The park is between the forest and the river with a few trees spattered along the shore. If you are looking for shade, select a site at the west end of the park. Park was quiet except for 1 night we had neighbors who chatted by the campfire well after quiet hours. They were gone in the morning so no need to complain.Online booking with site selection is always a plus for me and the check-in process was a breeze. Super-friendly staff. Camp rules were provided via email. There is no store on-site but you are close to the town of Jenison for supplies and a nice laundromat. Easy access to local attractions in 30 minutes or less.Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the play structure, although there is only 1 large umbrella for shade. Restrooms were spick-and-span with a squeegee provided to help minimize puddles on the floor. 2 stacked w/d units take credit cards which was a plus and hold a surprising amount of laundry.Price seems on par for other waterfront sites with full hookups in MI & WI this summer.

  • Spacious site on the river. Close to Grand Rapids.

The entry into the campground isnt totally obvious but there are signs. The office is on a barge in the river. We had a back in site on the river, gravel, 50 amp, FHU, picnic table, fire ring. We had a back in site on the river, gravel, 50 amp, FHU, picnic table, fire ring. Our spot had extra room cause it was next to some type of rail/tugger system. I would call the majority of the sites spacious. Some shade. Pool looked nice. Didn’t check out the restrooms or laundry. Pretty quiet. Didn’t notice any river noise. Only heard an airplane once. There is a small airport near there. The office didn’t have any info. No tourist info. Not even a site map & rules for the park. At least they didn’t give us one. No cable or internet. We got the major networks over the air. We had one incident where our surge protector shut us down for high voltage. Our last day there they mowed around our motorhome and blew grass all over everything we had outside. Had to clean it all off before storing it. They could have waited one more day or turned the mower in the other direction. The road construction mentioned in a previous review is over so it doesn’t take long to get into Jenison or Grand Rapids we also went to Holland to see the windmill and lighthouse. It’s a beautiful town. We did take the riverboat cruise. It’s run by the people who run the campground. Not much to see but it was nice to be out on the water.

You pull through a tiny airport and storage center to enter. Weird, but whatever. We paid the weekly rate, $288 for a pull-through site (only sites available when we booked). It's pretty apparent that the pull-through / center sites provide a very different experience than the riverside sites. While the riverside sites appear to provide some privacy in the form of a river backing up to your site and a few feet of extra land between you and your neighbor, the central / pull-through sites feel a bit crowded.A few of the sites (mostly in the '50s') have some nice shade - otherwise its full on sun. Even though the campground's website map shows trees on some of the other sites - those trees appear to have been removed. Our site was level - and most appeared pretty level in general. Gravel sites with asphalt paved roads within the campground. There are several oil pumps strewn about the campground that pump on and off all day and night. Not super loud, but notable if you are in site 67 and your window is open at night.Nice picnic tables and fire rings at every site. The pool is salt-water, and very clean and well maintained. There is no shade at the pool though - it can get a bit overwhelming. The bathrooms are brand new and very clean. Laundry is new and clean as well. Nice wooden playground next to the pool. This was a pretty quiet campground when we were here - even though it was chock-full on the weekend. Overall, it's a fine campground - but we felt it was pretty overpriced for the amenities and proximity to anything (due to construction, any trip into even the town of Jenison took 15-20 minutes).
