Had a gorgeous weekend at Eastpointe RV Resort in Grand Haven Michigan. We were on site 87, FHU with cable. $75 a night for a river front spot. It is a pull in so if you have a TT or 5er they pull your rig in with a tractor. After checking in there is a pull off lane to unhook. This is a gated campground that uses coded entry.Absolutely beautiful campground, meticulously maintained and very clean. Staff is very friendly! There is a nice walking path that goes along the river on the property and leads back into the campground. There is a gated access to the dog parks at the city park next door. The dog parks are huge and have a small side and large side.Side note...there is waste water treatment plants on both sides of the campground. We never smelled it and had no issues with it. It's totally fenced in and you can't see it. It was in the 70's with a nice breeze. Other reviews have mentioned it so I didn't not want to mention it. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a gorgeous and new in 2015 (Big Rig friendly) RV park, badly needed in this area. Large concrete pads, paved streets, nicely grassed sites with steel firepits. No dirt or dust like most RV parks and not a railroad track anywhere near, unlike 99.9% of all RV parks in the country. LOL. It has all the amenities and located right on the Grand River in Grand Haven, making for terrific views. Only issue, it is located right next to a sewage treatment plant. When the winds are blowing in the wrong direction, it is not pleasant. Reserve and request sites as far away as you can from that area. Other than that, a great find and a wonderful place to stay. Sites will accommade Big Rigs.

I'd put Eastpointe in the "premium" RV resort category. We stayed for a week.THE GOOD: The park is extremely clean and well landscaped. It sits right on the Grand River and has a nice water view. Everything looks very new and there was some construction happening while we were there building some new facilities. There are new picnic tables and fire pits at each site. The staff picks up trash throughout the day from your site. There is also a nice walking path around the park and along the river. The staff was also extremely helpful and friendly. While this location is not on Lake Michigan, it is very close to downtown Grand Haven, which has many nice shops and restaurants. THE BAD: The only odd thing was that our Airstream had to be put into position by a tractor operated by park staff because of the way that the riverfront spaces are oriented. It wasn't really a big inconvenience arriving or leaving as the staff was readily available to move it. This park is also one of the priciest we've stayed at. THE UGLY: Almost everything about this park is stellar except one stinging problem - it sits right next to a water treatment plant. When the wind is just right, you catch that unmistakable scent. We never smelled anything inside our Airstream and, honestly, most of the time, I didn't smell anything. The staff also seemed to take care to place people at the far end of the park away from the offending public utility. Overall, this is premium RV resort intended for folks that want to enjoy the pool, the river and have close proximity to Lake Michigan and downtown Grand Haven. If that sounds like your cup of tea and you can handle the premium price, coupled with the occasional scent of dealing with the ugly side water management, then you'll probably enjoy this place.
