Lots of secluded sites among the trees. Verizon was 2-3 bars most of the time.

The place is beautiful. They advertise all of their activities, none of which are ever open, including the pool. They advertise all of their activities, none of which are ever open, including the pool. Owners are crazy, we got yelled at by the only staff member we could find (no one was ever really around, office was always closed, no one to contact) because we asked why the pool was closed because we interrupted her while working. Then she followed us back to our campsite and continued to scream at us in front of our kids, so naturally we told her how we felt about the situation and they kicked us out. The campers behind us said they kick people out all the time and that you have to walk on eggshells there and kiss their a$$ just to be able to stay there in peace. They also said they’ve been there for a few months and everyone they’ve met said the owners/staff are crazy and rude. Video of the conversation is on YouTube, check it out.

We stayed here because the location was close to an event. No online reservations so you are talking to someone to make reservations. Not certain where they found the woman who runs the front desk, most likely family as no one would have someone so rude and crude dealing with the public. Not certain where they found the woman who runs the front desk, most likely family as no one would have someone so rude and crude dealing with the public. The park was no where near capacity on a weekend, yet this woman acted like she was doing an interview for joining a country club. There are rules, then there are Merry Meadow's rules. She brought up several times about "losing" power and there is a sign that strongly suggests that you put water into your tank in the event of power loss. The sights are nothing special and obviously could use some maintenance and upgrading. We paid for 50 amp service, although the woman questioned why I would need 50 amp service with my unit. The real concern came when we got hooked up and our voltage gauge showed the power available was barely 110 volts, forcing me to use the propane to heat our water, with 50 amp service? It is obviously a family with kids campground, with the only attraction being the swimming pool, as the location is close to nothing of interest. We would only stay here again out of necessity, as it was not that appealing, not friendly. We hate spending our money someplace that it is not appreciated

Not the most pet friendly as we were asked multiple times if our dog was “vicious” but the office was very friendly and the view from our site was amazing. Not a lot to do in the area (within 20 min drive range)in the winter though it looks like it would be fun in the warmer months with pools and other outdoor activities.
