Our site was un-level side to side, and front-to-back. Our front tires were hanging 18" off the ground. We approached the front to see if they had any other spots available. The lady was friendly, but her husband was not.He proceeded to argue with us, saying that in 9 years he's never had anyone not be able to get level, and that our spot was the most level spot in the campground. Again, our front tires were 18" off the ground. He then told me "you're doing something wrong."At this point I realized there was no point in even continuing the discussion. We walked away, spent the weekend, then left and lost out on the rest of the week.I would advise not coming here. Our family did not feel safe, compounded by the fact that (and other Google reviews verify this) the owners and at least one group of people here were all carrying handguns.

  • Big, quiet site in the pines.

Camp hosts and employees were very friendly. The grounds were well kept and clean. There was only one washer/dryer in the laundry room so we ended up going to town for laundry. There’s plenty to do in the surrounding area with Mt Katahdin near by. We’d definitely stay here again.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay that wasn't too far from Baxter State Park and other hiking destinations. The campground is located right off the main road and close many attractions. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We stayed in site 11 and the water and electric hook-ups were too far away for our power cord to reach. However, we were able to borrow one from the camp office with a refundable deposit. The campground also offers a dog walking service which we took advantage of and a shuttle service to and from Baxter. Their shuttle service prices are comparable to others in the area and was very helpful for us as our truck was too wide to enter the State park. This is an incredibly dog friendly campground and Wendi was great with our pup! The bathrooms were also spotless which was a huge plus. Overall, we really enjoyed this place and would definitely recommend it to others!

We loved the location of our site overlooking the woods, but the electric and water were positioned on the wrong side. It was a bit frustrating to maneuver the trailer into place. The have a small store, and the restrooms were clean. The campground is conveniently located on the road to Baxter State Park (entry is 30 minutes away), but the internal roads were in rough shape. There was some road noise, but not enough to bother sleeping.
