Its not far from downtown New Orleans. When you first get off the Interstate, the area looks abandoned and a little sketchy, but it is ok. Apple Maps guided me right to the park. Facilities were clean, but gave it 4 stars on cleanliness due to the gravel roads/sites and dust everywhere. Park is fenced and gated for added security. There is a restaurant and bar, but we didnt eat there. I enjoyed walking and sitting along the water in the mornings. The occasional noise from airplanes taking off from nearby Lakefront Airport was a small detraction. Playground was not much. Stayed in waterfront campsite #21, but view was partially blocked by houseboats. Disappointing for $89/night. Back-in site with gravel parking and a picnic table. No BBQ pit or fire ring. 15A/30A/50A, water, sewer, and cable TV hookups. Site was pretty level. Awning faced north so we had some shade from the sun. There was a flower bed with palm trees between the sites. Not much shade in the park. The site is located on the water. Neighbor was at least 20 ft. Away. Roads in the park were gravel creating some dust. Both AT&T and Verizon had good signal (3 bars each). AT&T Speedtest = 26.8 Mbps down, x 6.5 Mbps up. Free Wi-Fi is available at the office/restaurant and paid available it the sites. Did not use the Wi-Fi.Overall, not impressed for the price, but would stay here again. We camped at New Orleans RV Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.

Appeared like a lot of full-timers spending a few weeks here. Our spot was a very long, rocky but level, with full hook ups. It came with a picnic table but not much space for sitting. Not super spacious on the sides.Even with being packed it was pretty quiet other than cars driving to their rigs. Pet friendly, and our doggos enjoyed walking near the water. It was a short drive to the craziness that New Orleans has to offer. This campground is nice that it's close to the action, but still out of town a little. Little pricy, but it is New Orleans and on the water. Wifi was pretty terrible. They did have trash pickup. Would stay again, but it's really a campground to use a base while enjoying New Orleans.

One of the reasons we booked in the Pontchartrain Landings RV park was because we wanted to experience the French Quarter and ll that New Orleans had to offer. As advertised, we thought we would be able take the campground shuttle in and out of town. WRONG! We spent over $125.00 on Uber fees and all while paying over $100.00 per night lot fee. Please redo the website and get ride of your false advertisement. We were told the shuttle didn’t run because of COVID but drivers were available at a fee and the restaurant above the office was open. Way too expensive for what you get at this resort .

The website shows you a picture of the place that looks like a beautiful RV resort with paved roads in the Rv park and amazing views of a marina and across from there....IT IS ALL FALSE. First it is all gravel and when it rains it turns to mud and "lakes", the picnic tables are rotten, there is a marina but it is a working marina with a yacht repair shop across the way, so you had yachts coming in, idling for 20-30 minutes waiting for their turn. We paid extra for a premium site with a nice view and are view was a shrimp boat and the repair shop. The site next to us which was cheaper (a deluxe) had the same view. Across the way are some industrial buildings not greenery like shown on the photo. The photo of the place is a rendition. You hear a train every night and once in a while police sirens. It is not quiet. The only thing good are the staff and the proximity to the French Quarter which is an easy 20 minute drive. We were charged an extra $40 even before Mardi Gras started and there was no Mardi Gras, it's not their fault that the festivities were cancelled (Covid) but our rate went from $67 to $112 with no cancellation allowed even though we reserved months in advance. So I will caution you if you decide to stay here, don't pay extra for the "view" and don't come during Mardi Gras.

We got to the park on the same day that the Mayor of NO confirmed 3 cases of coronavirus and canceled public events, but the city had yet to shut down. We stayed 3 nights using Passport America. Honestly, this is one of those hidden gem parks, especially with the PA discount. We had site M-1 which is considered a deluxe site. Our back window had a view of the marina which was noisy during the day, but made for good yacht watching and was quiet overnight, and we were right near the restroom and laundry. The campground is great. The store is pretty big and the front office staff are some of the best we’ve come across. There’s a bar and restaurant onsite, a nice pool and hot tub (we didn’t end up using them though). The bathrooms were clean, but single stalls only, and there’s only 2 restrooms for the whole park. We used the laundry room, which saw a bunch of traffic. Be prepared to wait for bathrooms or laundry during high-volume times. Be warned too that the road leading to the campground is rough and industrial — the whole area rundown; even our Lyft driver had no idea where we were taking him! But we promise the park itself is clean and safe! There’s WiFi, but we were way too far away to connect anything, so it was useless. Why don’t they have an extender or separate hotspot for the farthest end of the campground?? There’s cable but we really would have preferred a WiFi connection. The best part of the park for us was the shuttle into New Orleans. It’s $6 and runs a couple times a day, drops you right off in the French Quarter, and the last ride back is 8pm. We only took it there, and used Lyft to get back at night (DON’T MAKE THE MISTAKE WE DID and forget to write down the front gate code!! The gates are locked at night, and when we got back at 10pm, we were stuck outside. Fortunately, a gentleman in a nearby RV saw us pacing and frantically trying to find a phone number to call and he told us the code to get in. Oops!)We’ve visited New Orleans before, so we just hit up a few spots like Pat O’Briens. Again, this was before everything closed because of the coronavirus. We took precautions like washing our hands carefully and using hand sanitizer, but in retrospect it felt like the city hadn’t realized the extent of the spread. However, we would absolutely stay here again (maybe closer to the front office for a WiFi connection) and encourage others to check it out when they want to visit New Orleans. This is still the best RV park you'll find in New Orleans - sadly.Gravel was fairly level. Lots of sites and many are next to water. Solid electricity.Non-existent wifi. Available in about 5ft radius of the office and then it's a crap-shoot... I wasn't one of the lucky ones. I disagree that they're looking to improve the wifi as the dates from when they said this seem to be from a long time ago. It'd be more honest to say it's office-area only.It has a bar and restaurant onsite. Beer was cold and the gumbo was edible but nothing exceptionally tasty. The shuttle into town was very handy but driving in and parking for a similar price gives more flexibility as the shuttle timing is quite infrequent. And the documentary on Katrina shown each morning was very good, very interesting.I've done my best to separate out the horrendous aspects of New Orleans from the RV park. The roads in New Orleans are generally dreadful. And the whole city is largely unclean and rife with poverty. But the location of this RV park really is a puzzle as it took me all around the world to get back to it when a couple of roads suffered flooding.

You go past abandoned warehouses on junky roads, and it feels like you've been tricked into something bad. But once you show up, all that disappears, and you end up with a charming little park. It is next to the river, so if you can ask for one of the sites next to the river you can get a nice view (and, apparently, possible alligators, although we didn't see any). The park has a nice restaurant that has live music some nights. The best thing, though, in my opinion, is that they have a shuttle bus that will take you to downtown New Orleans, so you can go explore Bourbon Street and all the other wonderful areas of NO without having to worry about parking, driving, or drinking.

Google maps was correct. We mentioned it when we checked in and they were aware of it but I didn’t see a warning on their website. As you get off of I-10 you do travel through an industrial area that makes you wonder if you are on the right track as well as wondering if you made a bad call on locations. Once you get to the RV park it is nice, although dusty. Everything is gravel. During our stay it was maybe about a 1/3 full so traffic in the park was not an issue. We did eat at the onsite restaurant and the food and drinks were good but just typical bar food. We had a pull through site which was long enough to handle the coach and truck. Overall the services are good except for the water pressure which was not very strong. We used the cable and it worked well. We drove to town on a couple of the days there and the staff let us know he best places to park which was a great help. The best sites are 6 – 16 if you want a water view.

If they tell you sites 142, 143 or 144 run as fast as you can the other way. Be sure to ask the site number when you make reservations, if those 3 numbers come up DO NOT STAY!! On the other hand there is a shuttle that will run you downtown which is a plus.

Newly rebuilt since Katrina. Much of the industrial area and nearby residences where still boarded up or worse (2012). New Clubhouse built on stilts that put it into skyscraper category. They had a commuter transport that ran several times a day to the city center.Nice secure location from which to enjoy New Orleans.
