The check in building is on the right past the large NP sign at top of little hill,, when you see the crossroads sign slow down,, the building appears on the right along with the diamond caverns signs.. Our first time here. nice park with lots of clean cut grass. you check in at building on the main road by the big caverns sign on the right when you come to top of the hill. there is no gate access which is different!!. the "B" section is 30 amp pull through sites with you and the other site side by side on the curb side close together with the elec, water, sewer between the units.. :) The main road coming in is paved and gravel roads in the campground that are for the most part in good condition,, no potholes etc. there is one that goes up a hill that is washed out bad.. go around to the end road to go uphill vs the one by the bath house but that is mostly annuals. Seem most of the transient spots are in A and B section for the most part. A section 50 amp, B section 30 Amp.. We have seen a golf cart leading in some rig so not sure as we picked our own site with info from the ranger on open sites in the 30 amp area. Power was good at some 118 to 120v.. the water pressure was not overly high and the water tested out to 129 on TDS meter..) no need for softener. The pool area that is nice, a good bath house off the family center with seperate rooms for showers, toilets etc.. older but in good condition, both of the bath houses. we have good ATT and Tmobile service on this site. t-mobile was 3.5 down, att was 10 down. they have the usual somewhat lame jabba system but we never use it due to att hotspot we bring. GOLF COURSE INFO: TO get to golf course come to main road (across from check in building) turn right and go almost to interstate to next left Doyle Rd.. Follow that around to the pro shop, you want to turn left then back right to go behind pro shop.. (it will make sense look on google maps sat view and park in front of the condo's past putting green) I posted a picture of the course card as there i NO info on this course i could find. I played the course twice now. :) between rain days. :( The greens are bent grass and in excellent shape.. the tee boxes, fairways, etc are crap. The fairways are "what ever will grow" they can cut.. they cut it all to a low rough level so balls can be hard to find. there is not much difference between the center of the fairway and the "rough".. (if i lost a ball on the main part of the course i did not do a penalty shot..) the course is very hilly and there are a lot of washed out areas beside the fairways, in the fairways, on the cart paths which are gravel and around the greens in places. Its kinda short form the back tee's measuring at like 5300 but with the elevations it's a bear. there are are several dog legs both left and right.. and water on some holes. If you can play with someone that has been on it before do so.. not a lot of signs showing how to get from hole to hole at times.. One hole on the back #16 is out of service do to sink hole in the green. you replay #1 again for 18.. (you get discount with TT membership m-f $17.60 +- 18 w/ cart.) We did the "historic mammoth cave tour." it was very cool and a lot of steps.. (if you have ANY trouble with step do NOT take this tour.. ) other than that it was great.. lots of history they were doing tours in the early 1800's .. RECYCLING:For the recyclers, which is hard for sure, there is a nice place down by the cave tours building in the campground to the left.. go past the entrance station and up on the left is all the containers. They take*Plastic #1-2 only*metal and alum cans *Glass brown and clear it's not a ton but helpful..

There are large open areas to be used by the guests. Activities include mini golf, horse shoes, a pool, a game room, and a children’s play area. The WiFi is free in the main building. The rest of the Resort has good WiFi if you’re willing to pay for it. The office is across the street from the Resort. If you don’t see the sign you could drive into the campground and wonder where to check in. The Resort is across the street from Diamond Caverns and a 10 minute drive to Mammoth Cave. Thousand Trails members so this visit was at no cost to us.

We are new to the camping trailer life, but the site had everything we needed. It was a pull in which my husband liked. There are back ins. The pool was open so the kids liked that! There was a dump station. however the running water wasn’t working, that was a big bummer for my husband who juSt wanted to rinse things out before leaving. There is another dump site down the road by the camping store (visitor center for the national park). Overall great location and we would stay here again!

This park has a great location vis-a-vis Mammoth Cave National Park, unfortunately shut down during our time there. The sewage system needs some maintenance--several problems occurred during our time there--in part because of a wet spring in Park City. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time here. Spent a day in Bowling Green, a short drive down the Interstate. We had friendly neighbors and hospitable management.

Luckily I had read lots of reviews about their other campgrounds so I came with low expectations. Most of the campground is gravel. There seems to be several sites and mostly level. The pool is open but there are no chairs to sit in. There are several resident campers here with large stashes of wood gravel and outbuildings. It’s very evident who is a weekly camper and who is a resident camper. It’s quiet here. Even though it’s summer and we have seen several children running about it seems quiet. There is a pay for use Internet service that is fast enough for me too teach online. We are right by one of the bath houses. It’s very clean but outdated. This is a great little park to camp in if you are here visiting the national Park, in the area for work or pleasure. There are lots of things to do nearby.

Let's face it, the quality of the campgrounds is not what motivates most of us to buy into the system. :) So with that in mind, we typically go into new TT parks with very low expectations. We were totally surprised. You still have the typical problems that TT parks tend to have with outdated facilities and amenities, but otherwise this park was just really terrific. The gal running the office when we arrived (Penny) was super helpful and friendly. The park is very quiet and serene. Despite the dilapidated condition of some of the facilities, the grounds themselves are kept very nicely and it's so pretty here. Lots of green space and wooded areas. It looked like most of the campsites have a fire ring and someone was driving around selling firewood on our first day here. It was lovely to have a "real" fire for the first time in awhile! We usually use our propane fire pit, so this was a special treat. All of the sites have full hookups and there were plenty of sites with 50amp service available. We did have some trouble with our cellular connection. Because we both work, good internet signal is mandatory. Normally, we would have had to pack up and leave right away given how bad the cell service was for us here. However, the park here has partnered with a local internet provider and they offer pay service for internet. It gives you 3 devices on your account at a time and it was more than sufficient for our needs all week. We were thrilled that was an option and it truly saved the trip for us.Overall, we were just really pleased with this little park and are looking forward to returning during warmer weather so we can enjoy the pool and grounds more as well as do some more exploring in the national park here.Tech Specs (WeBoost + Omnidirectional Antenna) -------Verizon - 1.64mbps download | 5.68mbps upload | 251ms pingAT&T - unable to connect at all from our site, but did get some spotty signal throughout the parkCampground Wi-Fi - 21.6mbps download | 23.5mbps upload | 4ms ping($25/week pay service)The Good --------- Good proximity to Mammoth Cave National Park, you're only about 15 mins from the visitor center- Really nice folks running the office- It's very quiet and pretty- Sites are decent sized with several backing up to open spaces and the woods. The sites in the A section are probably the most spacious and pretty. They are staggered and give you space behind them for your campfire, so you don't feel as squished with your neighbors.- Full hook ups!- Quiet and clean, feels very safe and serene- Pool looks very nice, but was closed while we were here (November, so it's too cold)- Excellent wi-fi service available for a reasonable feeThe Bad --------- Showers and bathrooms are in pretty rough condition, but having full hook ups helps with that inconvenience, of course- Terrible cellular reception for both Verizon and AT&T, even using our WeBoost with omnidirectional antenna- As with many Thousand Trails campgrounds, there are a large number of what appears to be yearly residents, which does give it a slightly "trailer park" feel - not that this is bad, it's just not quite the campground experience if that's what you're looking for. Personally, I like the bustling activity of an active campground that feels like a campground. I may the minority there!- The mini golf course is closed, likely due to its dilapidated condition- There is no dog park on site, however it's a lovely place to take walks with your pups

We used our time here to visit the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green and to explore Mammoth Cave. The check-in process for this campground is smooth and you are led by golf cart to your site. We had a problem with our satellite dish at the first site and the host moved us to a site better suited to our needs. All of the staff that we encountered during our time there were absolutely wonderful. The facilities are clean and well maintained. We appreciated the quality of the laundry room especially as we had been without laundry facilities for several weeks before arriving! The pool was clean and well maintained. Our site was in the pull-through section and it was satisfactory, but I think when we return to the campground we will inquire about a back in site as they were a little more private. Our site was level, and included a nice picnic table and fire ring. It was gravel and grass, and the gravel was sufficient to avoid mud puddles in spite of a good bit of rain.

We stayed there March 30th - April 4th and the weather ranged from the high 20’s and 30s overnight to rain and lightning storms to warm and sunny in the high 60s. It’s your typical early spring weather mix. The spaces are far enough apart for comfort, though still fairly close. The spaces along the side where we were at (space A-2) had grassy areas behind them with fire pits and picnic tables. We were also diagonal enough that most of our patio side windows faced grass and trees instead of someone else’s RV. Other spaces around the park also had decent grassy areas. What I really liked about the park is that the spaces were in clusters throughout the hills, so it felt more like you were in a smaller park. Instead of RVs as far as the eye could see, you were able to see more trees and grass.Cell service was good on Verizon and AT&T, with 3 to 4 bars each throughout the week. Of course there were slow-downs during the evening hours, but they were minimal. The utilities at our site were fine at 50amp with full hookups. Some sites are only 30 amp and some are only partial hookups. The odd thing is that the map shows certain sites as being full hookup with 30 amps, but there is only one water spigot between two sites. Diamond Caverns has your typical Thousand Trails amenities: laundry, bathrooms with showers, pool, playground with basketball court, mini golf, horseshoe pits, a lounge, and event room. The pool wasn’t open while we were there because it was still early in the year and there was no store, but they do have ice and firewood for sale. We felt very safe there and had no concerns leaving our RV when venturing out. Walking around the RV park is very social – people wave and stop to chat. While we only talked with the staff once (at check-in), the whole place had a very friendly vibe. The property is nice to walk through and has access to a hiking/biking trail that leads to the Mammoth Cave National Park Visitor Center. There’s a shooting range down the road, but the only day we heard anything from it was Saturday. We also had small ant hills (maybe 3 inches high) scattered in our grassy area but had no sign of them throughout the week. Spring had just sprung at the time, so it’s possible they weren’t ready to come outside yet.For major shopping and your big box stores, you’ll need to drive into Bowling Green, which is an easy 20-30 minutes south. There are a couple of smaller stores in nearby Cave City. We didn’t shop at those, but did go into Bowling Green for the Lost River Cave tour, a pretty darn good steak dinner at Montana’s Grille, and grocery shopping (with a decent organic selection) at the Kroger on the same strip. We loved being in Mammoth Cave National Park and just a quick 10-minute drive from the main visitor center. It allowed us to explore even after Brian got off work. We definitely recommend doing as many of the Mammoth Cave tours as you can and hiking the area’s trails. Both vary between short and easy to long and very strenuous. Pick what works best for you and make reservations for the tours ahead of time. We also enjoyed the Lost River Cave boat tour in Bowling Green. It was short, but very informative and unique for the boat part of it. They also have some hiking trails and a picnic area with some fun things for kids of all ages. Diamond Caverns also has its own cave you can tour; though, we didn’t go because the description made it sound a little too strenuous for me. Overall, we feel Diamond Caverns Thousand Trails was a great place to stay and would have loved another week or two here if we had time. We have a Thousand Trails membership, so the price was definitely right (“free” with our membership costs). The location and atmosphere definitely make it worth the stay even if you’d have to pay. The first time we visited, they had only certain sites we could choose and of course it wasn’t the better ones. Second visit we could choose any site and we loved that! We are full timers and we have 3 businesses we run from the road so LTE cell service is important to us and we choose places that provide WiFi that we pay for at our site. The WiFi here was pretty good as long as your site is right next to a tower. Cell service was like 3G but we have a weboost so we got LTE once we hooked that up. It’s right off I-65 but doesn’t feel like it. There is a dollar general, a gas station and subway within a couple miles. The town of Cave City is one exit up and it has more restaurants and businesses but Glasgow is about 20 mins away and has Walmart and more businesses. The golf course at the campground was $15 for one round of 18 hole golf and included the cart. The course is decent and my husband enjoyed it even though it was freezing cold (January lol). We didn’t get to explore any of the caves or attractions but we loved the giant dinosaurs near the Cave City exit. We will definitely stay here again! Had a lot of trouble getting level but otherwise great!

Thousand Trails site. Has seen better days. All of the amenities were in poor shape with peeling paint. The staff was friendly and the grass was green. Wild turkeys wandered throughout property. They had regular social events at the community center but we didn't attend any. The proximity to the NP was great though.

We had a great experience here. We are thousand trails members. When we arrived they looked at the length of our coach and offered advice as to spots we could pick. Once we selected the area the nice lady at the desk lead us the best way to the spot. Could not be happier about customer service.

WiFi is available for a small fee and really worked great, phones, laptop and Roku. The restrooms and laundry room are very clean and well kept. My only negative is the rv spaces themselves, mostly rough gravel sites, a little outdated.

Its not very large, there aren't a lot of sites, but the staff makes up for any problems with the campground. It also has the best bathrooms we've seen in a Thousand Trails parks. Two showers in each bathroom, all with locking doors. The showers are nice and tall too.Bathrooms are cleaned and checked three times a day and actually done three times a day. There is an adult only spa that has some exercise equipment, but we mostly used it to watch some tv and have internet access.Cell coverage though is pretty bad. Even with a cell booster, we barely had any signal. We could usually get a phone call out at least, so that was good, but streaming anything online was pretty difficult. The sites are pretty small, especially in the center B area and they go in opposite directions so you will have your side door facing the side door of another RV. The A and C sites are better though. I think all of them are full hookups with some being 50amp, though there is one site I know of that doesn't have sewer. There is a nice pool, they frequently have events going on, I think one day a week there is a potluck and during the summer they do movie nights, a bonfire with marshmallow roasting, and an ice cream social. The great thing about Diamond Caverns though is the staff. There are rangers that patrol the campground every hour or so, and someone staffed at the checkin desk across the street during normal business hours. They will also deliver any packages to your site, we even had a large 60 pound box arrive and they brought it to us without issue. The manager is wonderful as well, I've had to deal with her a couple of times, once when a neighbor fell and she had to come out and deal with the situation, and Lana is always professional and respectful and does her job really well. She's very busy with the campground and golf club, but she will still get back to people promptly.

A number of seasonal/annual sites. Front desk was super nice and even delivered packages from the office. Pool is large and nice. They have a kids playground and a mini golf. Nice and quiet park. You are located right off the NP road. Not sure if "legally" (can fly a drone?) in the park but for all intents and purposes you ARE in the national park. Weekends were mostly all full. Most of the CG roads are gravel and is pretty hilly. Some lots will have a tough time leveling. Lots of trees so could be a challenge is you have satellite TV. Lots of tent campers on the weekend as you are so close to the NP. mammoth Cave NP was really not on my radar to go to but I will say it is a nice NP. Highly recommended to go.

Many of the sites were pull through and appeared to be level. We stayed in C4 which *looks* like a pull through, but it would be impossible to pull through without bottoming out your rig. The site has a very steep exit so you have to pull in and back out. The site is very desirable though because it is one of the largest sites in the park being on a corner. We had plenty of room to stretch out and relax! One thing that was really great about this park is that there were many sites available for transients, they weren't all taken up by annual/seasonal occupants. Yes, there were plenty of them but during the week the campground was pretty empty and only filled up on the weekends. It's nice to a see a Thousand Trails park where we actually had a few different sites to choose from that were suitable for our size. Not only were there sites available for us coming in on a weekend, but Patty drove us around to view them. She is an absolute gem for the park! Patty is so friendly and courteous! The current retail rate according to RVOnTheGo.com is $44, but our stay was included in our Thousand Trails Elite Membership. Amenities include a pool, playground, minigolf, vollyball court, basketball court, game room and something that they are calling a "spa". This "Spa" was like an outdated living room with 2 pieces of exercise equipment and a bathroom with a shower. Not really sure what was going on with that, but it definitely wasn't a spa or a gym by any means. The park could use some updating to the roads and buildings, but it looks like they are working on it. The grass was meticulously maintained, there wasn't any trash laying around and common areas were very well kept and clean. You really can't beat the location because you're right inside Mammoth Cave National Park. You can walk to Diamond Caverns and you have easy access to the park's trail network from there for biking and hiking. There was a usable Verizon signal, but having a MIMO antenna make it suitable for video conferencing, VOIP calls and working remote. AT&T was usable with a WeBoost, but not without.

The spots are decently sized. There is a pool, mini-golf, big playground, and gym.We could not get AT&T on our phones except maybe one bar in a random spot. Our Verizon mifi received 2 bars of 4g which was enough for Netflix.Groceries and other services are 10 minutes away in Cave City.Note that the office is on the left side of the road where you see the sign pointing right for the campground.
