This was a nice KOA with full hookups. Pool, playground, cabins, and even teepee for the kids. Nice well maintained dog area, trails. Would like to stay longer and enjoy the area a bit more. One thing to note is that the ingress and egress are both steep.

They are trying, however not a good thing to read while driving.

We stayed here one night on our way to Knoxville. We pulled in after dark on a snowy evening in January, but the office was still open (not normal for a KOA in January). We pulled in after dark on a snowy evening in January, but the office was still open (not normal for a KOA in January). The staff was super friendly and gave us treats and poop bags for both of our pups. Pretty standard KOA sites - not huge, but not terrible. We didn't use the showers, but the bathrooms looked pretty nice. The road into the campground is a little steep but doable. When you first turn in, you feel like you're in the wrong place, but keep following the signs. The exit from the campground (one way roads, so it was different from the entrance) was also pretty steep, and it looked like a few campers had scraped their back ends getting out in the past; we were fine, but we're in a motorhome. Since we were only here for the night, I don't remember how good the wifi or our Verizon signal was.

  • Very accommodating and helpful staff!

If you have been to one KOA you have been to most. Subtle differences between them, but setup pretty much the same.We were there for a family get together as it was centrally located. What made this KOA stand out was the staff. Very helpful, friendly and accommodating!
