We did have a glitch at check in. We booked through Thousand Trails and the site we were assigned was big enough for a 22ft camper and was occupied, we are 32ft. When we went back to the office the front desk told us we had to call a 1-800 and she could not help. Luckily a gentleman walked in heard what was happening and offered a great site for our stay. We were right in between two lakes so we had great views out both windows. In fact our profile pic is now from Alpine Lakes. Our fellow campers were friendly and courteous. There was some noise on the weekend but it all quited down as soon as quite hours hit. The restrooms although older were clean and in good repair. We did not use the pool, but it looked very nice. The upkeep of the landscape was very nice with lots of beautifuly places to walk. The restaurant opened on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and seemed to be very popular. I found there store to be well stocked and better than the average camp store we see. We enjoyed our time here and can't wait to visit again.

  • Nice, but tight and very busy

Lots of seasonal campers with very elaborated RV sites (furniture, decoration, multiple cars, etc.). Facilities are very nice and many are open as COVID-19 reactions are becoming more flexible. There is a nice restaurant, ice cream, a small store, golf cara for rent, canoes, boats, pool (still closed) and this weekend there was RV tournament. Once the weekend crowd left it was much nicer and peaceful. There is free wifi, but we work from the RV so got the paid internet ($10 for 3 days) and it was OK. I had 2 web calls and screen froze once for a few seconds. Great for big families and something to do for everyone. You can get to a more peaceful area if you pick a spot far from the lake.

  • Lakefront sites, nice park amenities, crowded, lots of seasonals

Nice that they have an adult only hour in the pool from 8-9 pm nightly. I had email confirmation for site 220 paid in full when I booked over phone that morning. When we got there they had moved us to next site which did not have quite as nice views. We suspect big rigs caused issue. No compensation to us made for the hassle. Some better length restriction needs to be done in the parallel parked site areas- were way too crowded to maneuver to get rigs and tow cars in and out. Bathroom buildings in site areas could use some exterior maintenance. Shower stalls would be nicer with lockable doors rather than the current curtains. Canada geese do make a mess around walkways and on lower lying sites near waterfront. Staff was helpful, but we were not pleased when our confirmed site was not available upon our arrival. They were able to still locate us on a neighboring site with the water view which is why we came in the first place. We enjoyed our water view, the pool and lunch at the waterfront restaurant. There are many permanent seasonal sites with lots of their own landscaping, tons of furniture, mega fire pits, add a rooms and gazebos, etc. Gladly they do keep all the seasonal bunched in certain areas because I would feel like an interloper as a transient. This RV Park does have scheduled activities for kids and adults. Campers with kids would have lots to do right on site which is good because there is not much else right around the park. They run a cute trolley type shuttle $4pp, to lake George daily June-Sept and to Saratoga Springs during race track season. Saratoga has nice boutique shopping and restaurants and also a few museums downtown. Our actually site was level, nice to have concrete patio pad. Sewer and electric worked fine, 50 Amp (we only draw 30). Our site was I highground location so No issues with Canada goose poop. We had site 221 but site 2019 or 220 were even better Lake views. After seeing park full on Saturday we recommend back in sites either 207 or 208 as the best in the park. They are opposite the beach so no prob angling your vehicle to back rig in. Both have really nice full lake view facing east for nice morning sun and rising moon view at night. Sites in this area a decent size and staggered so you don't feel hemmed in. Also further off road so a little more privacy but also close enough to pool, showers, store and restaurant lodge and ice cream snack bar!

There are many large trees at most sites and the lakes are gorgeous. Nature is the best part about this place and they have some nice trails to walk. It was really quiet during the week but I’m assuming the weekend is very different as there are a lot of seasonal campers. It would be a perfect place for kayakers and bikers.

  • OK, needs upkeep here and there, nice lake access.

There had been quite a bit of rain, and our site was a waterfront site on the lake. It was lucky that we didn't get stuck, because when I drove out, I noticed that we had made 3" ruts with our rear tires when backing in!Right off the bat, I walked around the back of our RV and almost stepped in a pile of dog poop. We think the people next to us did not clean up after their dog. Not the fault of the park, but still a bit nasty.Geese poop all over the sites near the water, so be prepared for that if you stay at a waterfront site.I went to the men's restroom and of three stalls, two were "out of order", and the men's restroom was one of the dirtiest I've seen anywhere. They could really stand to clean it up.When we were there, the grass didn't look like it gets mowed often, but that could have been because of the amount of bad weather we had around that time. The lake, and the lakeside sites are really nice, however, for kayaking. We were able to unload our kayaks right onto the grass at our site, and drag them right into the water at our site. This is the MAIN reason we will return there. It's a GREAT lake for kayaking and small boats. There is a sister lake that you can drag your kayak across a small peninsula to, which we will do next time. They have a really nice patio / deck area at one end of the lake, with a pretty good concession stand with food and ice cream. We enjoyed that. There are many, many semi-permanent campers there, which we're not crazy about, because in our opinion, it makes a campsite look more like a trailer park with all the sheds and fences, and in our opinion, not nearly as neat or nice looking. Some sites are well kept, but some are not so well kept.We also had great WIFI at the end of the lake near the concession stand. Among the best we've had anywhere. Did not ever use our phone data, so cannot comment on that much, but I suspect it was OK.
