Telling me at 8PM about undocumented rules is not acceptable. I decided to stay here for an overnight with my family. We reserved a long pull through since we weren’t going to unhook and had a second car with us. Upon arriving at our site we were told we could not park the second car in our site, despite the fact there was room, without parking on the grass or on anyone else’s site. We have a 28” trailer which allowed more than enough room to safely park our second car in the designated parking site. After speaking with the representative, they stated the owner would not allow a second vehicle at our site. “It’s on our website”.After checking my email confirmation, the paperwork provided at checkin and their KOA Salina website, I found no such rule or regulation. This appeared to be an arbitrary rule. Looking around the campground, there were multiple sites with multiple vehicles. A Jaguar SUV in front of a 5th wheel (cannot be the tow vehicle), two vehicles and a trailer on another site. To ensure there is not confusion with my statements, I took pictures of the multiple “infractions” and of my site which had at least 15 extra feet where I could have parked my sons Subaru. Instead of having his vehicle safely parked at our site, he was forced to leave it near the entrance which placed puts his biking and camping equipment at risk of theft.I shared my concerns with the representative to no avail. The reason I have a theft concern is just before we turned into the KOA Salina campground we came across multiple homeless people, and a few, what appeared to be questionable motels. This location does not inspire confidence that his stuff would not be stolen, but given my long drive and late arrival I did not have a viable option. I will NOT be staying at the KOA in Salina again, but if you plan on trying your luck, I would suggest you get everything in writing before confirming your reservation.

Even though it’s right off the highway we heard no traffic noise overnight. We had a concrete pad pull through that was level. Good AT&T service. Overwhelmed by mosquitoes. Lots of trees and shade. Did not use the amenities.

Communication was clear and streamlined even though we didn’t even see a person. I slept fine but if you’re sensitive to road noise, bring earplugs. Full hook ups made arriving and leaving so handy. We filled our tank because it was going to freeze that night and they asked us to disconnect our hose. This isn’t our typical kind of camp ground but it was perfect what we needed. I’d stay here again.

Easily located right off the hwy and big rig friendly. We stayed in the patio site which was spacious and well kept. Lots of cable channels. Their wifi was weak but both ATT and Verizon were strong w/out a booster. The only negative was there was a cold spell and their water posts are not insulated so they insisted you remove your water hose when the temps were below freezing. Considering the location and the typical weather here during the winter, they should invest in insulated water posts so you can keep your water flowing. The staff was very friendly and will even cart your propane tank to your site for you after getting it filled. All in all, a great little stop if you're traveling across Kansas.

  • The water was still on, and the showers were hot.

We didn't have our nephew, but we did need a site with 50A and water that hadn't been shut off for the season. This KOA provided that - at a decent price (for a KOA). And the showers were immaculately clean and heated. We rolled in knowing it would be down in the teen temperatures for a few days - and snow was on the menu. We called on our way into town and received a friendly welcome and the assurance that we could fill our tanks during the day (but had to unhook water at night). We have a KOA discount card after having our nephew with us all summer - so why not? We've got space heaters to run! Typical packed in tight KOA set-up with mostly all pull-through sites (gravel/dirt). Being later October in a cold year, this place wasn't popping off, but did get a few customers for overnights on their way through to probably somewhere warmer. There were also a few monthly rigs there - but the campground closes on December 1st for the season, so they weren't permanent. They did get water post heaters though. We didn't use the laundry - but there is laundry available.Being late in the season and COLD, none of the entertainment amenities (pool, bounce pillow) were open. But, again, the price was reduced from 'on-season', so we found that reasonable. We were more than pleased with having cable hook-ups (so swanky!) with lots of channels. Surprisingly quiet (muted road noise) for being so close to the highway. The running from this location was surprisingly ok. We ran into town, where there is a dike-top trail that goes several miles. Town is cute. There is a truck stop Starbucks at the end of the road leading to the KOA, which I throughly enjoyed. We didn't use the park's WiFi - Verizon and AT&T were both solid here.

Nothing really special about this park. Good for an overnight stay just to get some rest, but expensive for what it is. Spots are tight, the interstate traffic is loud, spaces are level, full-hookups are fine. It rained while we were there and there was some serious ponding on our site.

Cable was decent enough but we don't watch a lot of TV.There is a nice pool and a nice dog walking area. The camp store has a good selection and offers pizza's cooked to order and delivered to your door (we did this and were pleasantly surprised with how good it tasted). On site laundry was good but busy. They have a really nice waiting area in the laundry with some couches and things.Wifi is so/so and cell service with AT&T, unboosted, is about 3 bars LTE. We stayed one night but would have no complaints with staying a few more. There is a bit of road noise during the day with the trucking facility next door but it stops in the evening so nights are reasonably quiet. We stayed on the end away from the freeway and heard no noise from it. Not sure about the sites closer.

For $40 to get full hookups I was quite pleased. We arrived just after they closed and I had an envelope on the door with receipt and explicit directions on how to get to my site. The site was level enough to stay hooked up for an early morning departure which was great. Water pressure was fantastic. Site wasn't overly pretty or spacious, kinda scraggly. But to park, get some A/C, wifi, dump my tanks and let the kids get wet in the pool after a day on the road, it was fantastic. They have a big "pillow" for the kids to jump on and a unique pool that was a circle, 3' deep on the sides and 6' deep in the middle. Pool area was old and eh...But the pool itself was cool. Overall, was only in the campground for less than 10 hours but made for a great stop through Kansas. Btw, there's a Starbucks at the gas station on the way out! There was a lot of road noise but didn't affect my sleep.

It's Memorial Day weekend but I was lucky enough to grab the last open spot without reservation. The family that runs this KOA is very friendly. The pool is ok. You can get fresh made Hunt Bros pizza up until 7:30 pm plus they have breakfast 8-10. The wifi is good. A little close to I-70 but the noise is not bad.

Just a one night stay, but for $28 (included KOA discount), I got cable for the night. Pretty much like any KOA but it was peaceful for the night. There was a museum of sorts across the street which made a great place to walk with the dog.
