Cottonwood Inn RV Park is owned by 2 brothers, located along US Highway 36. Truly a family business. In addition to the 8 spot RV Park, the brothers own the Cottonwood Inn, a 40 room motel next door. I did not see the insides of the hotel so can't comment on that, but the brothers strike me as very hard working so for me that is a good sign.Arrival was easy. Checked in at the hotel front desk like you would for a room. We got in at 7:30pm so this was easy unlike some other small RV parks that fold up earlier. The sites are simple. Gravel or asphalt pull through pads. 2 of the sites are back in. Those two back in sites were grassy and might be suitable for tents, though I don't know what the rules are. No fire rings at any of the sites.Slight noise from from the Highway steps away, but nothing that bothered us. If mild road noise bothers others you may want to consider that since you are right on US HY 36.My favorite thing about the location was that we were headed west and it was getting late and we didn't want to drive the extra 30 minutes to Prairie Dog State Park. For a quick overnight it worked great for us.If there are any negatives, it would be that the sites are a little aged and there are no fire rings. The pads could be improved and flattened for a more consistent look though they seemed level to us. There were a couple bottle caps on the ground so they could maybe be cleaner but what site doesn't have a bottle cap. The spots are tight, similar to the KOA's I have been to. But they are fully usable. We would stay here again if we were in the area and the situation was the same.
