Just a bit run down with weeds & everything needing a fresh coat of paint. Our table was weather & splintery. Also beware of there cancellation policy. CANCELLATION POLICY One night’s fee will be charged for all cancellations regardless of circumstances – weather, health, mechanicalbreak downs, early departures, etc.Location was good.

We were very pleased with our campsite and the whole campground. The sites are roomy, the bathrooms are super clean and the park is conveniently located near Dodge City. We would have happily stayed here longer and would stay again if we are in the area.

From the moment of arrival to the time of departure, the owner is friendly and engaging with his guests. That for me goes a long way. Beyond the interaction, this park has spotless bathrooms and showers, a great laundry room, a very nice swimming pool, and (at least the pull-through sites in the back) spacious sites. The sites have 2 sewer drains, something I really appreciate because I have separate grey and black water drains. The sites have a picnic table and shade trees. There's plenty of green areas to walk dogs. The park also has a great location, just a short distance from Boot Hill Museum.

Campsite is great. I’d suggest staying in the back area off the road, if this campground was in a bigger city , it would be packed all the time. Dodge City is a fun time for a day, then move on. But the campground was in a great location. Gravel sites are big, and the ones in the back area are all pull through. Stay here, you’ll be glad.

Needed a place between OKC and Walsenburg, CO and this was it plus close to Dodge City and just an 1.5hrs to Liberal, KS for 1/2 day. The campground is somewhat dusty since the roads are gravel and dirt plus KS winds don’t help the dirt kicking up. Our site was an end one in the front part of the park and it was noisy with cars coming in and going out. Next time I’d opt for the back part of the park. It also seems more green with grass and trees. I must say the bathrooms and showers are kept very clean. It has a nice little store with a few food items & souvenirs. The owner is super helpful with attractions, good places to see in Dodge City. Unfortunately from at least the front part of the park, the nearby speedway cars can be heard which are across the road from the park. Maybe they aren’t heard as much from the back side of the park. We are happy that Dodge City is close by and there are some mature trees to help give shade. We’d stay soon but ask for the back half of the park. UPDATE: ONGOSH! I just had to add…I was totally scared awake b y a train and it’s blasting horn not once but 3 times. The tracks must be right beside this park. Did not know this when booking. Not good at all.

Older park but well maintained. WiFi is slow. Cell service is good. Site spacing is excellent. The pool was clean. Sites near entrance may be an issue with highway noise and an active railroad nearby. Surge protector did detect an “open ground” on 30 amp plug. I reported it to manager. Friendly staff.

When I checked in I mentioned that I wanted to get an early start in the morning and didn't want to unhitch and they gave me a really nice pull through site in the back loop which was big enough to fit my whole rig and truck. The site also had a large shade tree which was much appreciated in the summer heat. I unfortunately didn't have time to use any of the facilities, but they had a nice pool and general store. Overall seemed like a well kept campground and the people were very nice and helpful.

We were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us to a premium site on the back lot. All utilities were in good working order. We didn’t use any of their facilities or the pool. Clean park. Nice level gravel pads. Picnic tables in good condition. Each site has a tree. Nice wide driving lanes. We appreciated the locked gate at night. We came in late after dinner and used the code with no problem. The only negative was our site had a constant faint sewer odor. Not sure why but thankfully it wasn’t overwhelming. We would definitely stay again.

The RV park has a cute theme in keeping with the location in Dodge City, with painted walls that make it a cheery atmosphere. There is a horse pasture that abuts the property, so even though the campground is located on a main road, and there is not much grass to be seen within the first part of the campground, the horses make you feel like you are slightly more tucked away. Our site was in the gravel parking lot and there were a lot of sites in that same lot. It could probably get tight, but the campground was not very busy so we had plenty of space. We did not spend much time at the site, however, the fact that it was a gravel parking lot did make it less enticing to hang out at the site. Since there is plenty to see and do in Dodge City, this was not a problem for us.

The only negative I can say is our site (all the ones in the front are small and gravel, our water had a horrible urine smell so we didn’t use it. The water tap is sandwiched between two sewer pipes very close. This problem may have only been at our site since nobody else seem to have that issue. We weren’t able to notify the owners because it was after hours when we realized it and we left early in the morning. We did get a good sams discount. We had good tv via the antenna and our phones worked fine. We didn’t need the WiFi.

Not a lot of large trees, but your park in a way the camper gives off shade to set in and alway a nice breezes. I would not put out your awning because the breeze can become strong.Bathroom and showers were clean and well maintained. The pool looked really nice but didn’t use it.The only thing a can say not positive is the road noise and a couple times a day a train will pass. But didn’t hear them inside the camper. We did drive around town and drove past the other R.V. parks and this one is hands down the best.

The guy at check in was very friendly and seemed to be working hard keeping the place up. Site was level and large and had a tree for shade and a cute little wagon wheel that said 'Matt Dillon Drive'. Utilities were well placed and in good condition. Downsides were a good amount of highway noise and some mighty strong whiffs of that Dodge City manure. Also a little bit of proselytizing going on here for those that are sensitive to that. I didn't mind it, but it's there.
