Why does this matter? If you are looking to stay 90 days or more in a place like this over the winter, you want to see some layers of security considerations.Welcome people at the front desk have not been trained to greet or handle customers. 4 of 5 people that we talked in mentioned that the front desk staff was not friendly, and My wife and I experienced it first hand. The community during the winter is handled as a gated community. You have full-timers living in the resort in golf cars watching (eagle eyes) the none regulars all the time, looking at your site for any violation of the rules, and the list is absurd and long. This list is not available on the website so ask before you book because it will be used as an excuse from management to avoid giving you a refund if the RV "Resort" doesn't fit your expectations. The resort manager is missing; you will need to follow up for requests or questions since the person who usually is at the front desk, who is also full-time, will take days to respond if you ask for anything. No resort activities. The RV resort is not within walking distance from any interesting point or a good restaurant. Illuminations during the night do not exist; no heated pool.We intended to stay during the winter, but the park didn't fit our interests. If you want to expent your winter watching Netflix all day and don't mind driving 20-30 minutes to places or don't want to connect to fellow "humans beings," Drifters RV Resort will fit your needs perfectly.Avoid if you have kids. Check other reviews on google.A final note; Drifters Resort is one of the most expensive parks in the area for what it offers. Do your assignment unless you have $700.00 (including deposit) to spend for an awful experience.

We wintered here for 4 ½ months and loved it. Large, back in, concrete sites. This is a hidden gem and for what it is it’s very cheap. The Park is well maintained and you can tell the owner really cares. While we were there, they upgraded the Wi-Fi. Hands down the fastest and best RV park Wi-Fi we have experienced. The sites are all concrete pads and the roads are paved. There are tons of shade trees. The power pedestal, cable and water connections are in the very back of the site. Be sure to have an extra hose and longer cable wire to make the connections. The sewer is centered on the pad. There is a nice dog park as well. They have bungalows, cabana's and cabins too. The resort is very well maintained. There is a second RV park right next door. There is a wood fence that separates the two parks. The other park was getting a little loud and rowdy on Saturday night. There was nothing that could be done by Drifters about that however. Overall the park is an excellent value, immaculate grounds and a great pool and spa.
