The campground was pretty empty when we got there on Sat. 10/16. The sites are very close together, but since there was no crowd they kept everyone at least 3-4 sites apart. If you camp there on a festival weekend, you will be on top and against each other. We had water and 50amp hookup. Friendly staff, interesting blue grass museum to view. The small town of Nashville Indiana is wonderful to explore. We spent 2 days shopping and eating. Went hiking at Brown County State Park. Trees just starting to turn colors and it was beautiful. The last weekend it rained and that's when we learned there is only 1 dump station and in heavy rain it floods. The dump station is on septic and not city. When everyone pulled out on Monday, and with the rain, it was a poopy mess. That is our only complaint. Could not image what it would be like on a festival weekend.

  • OK for a short stop or for the music festivals.

Our area had portable toilets scattered about; there is one very clean restroom/shower/laundry building near the pavilion. There is a museum on site, the Bill Monroe Memorial Museum, a tribute to "the King of Bluegrass". We were there at a non-festival time, so it was near empty.

  • Small, tight spaces but fun during a festival

Bathrooms were clean. Fun being near the festival. However, booked again for 2020 and when the festival was cancelled due to Covid, refunds are not offered. Can stay without a festival (who would do that) or apply a credit within 12 months. Would not recommend booking here.

Everyone from previous festivals stated how much better it was and they raved about the new showers/bathroom that are still being upgraded. Water/electric with dump site on grounds. Gravel pads basically level. Over 300 sites for festival along with primitive cabins. They have about 8 festivals a year so would need to check out their schedule. (But come to a festival too!) Owners are local. Basics at camp store. Bill Monroe Museum closed temporarily for renovation. Many sites from shade to open. Some sites access are across steep hill roads. Great tent sites. Don't know how many sites open during non-festival times. Five miles from Nashville, Indiana, which was settled as an Art Colony and still caters to the arts. Located in the hills of Brown County. Definitely stay here again.
