They definitely tried to fit in as many spots in the space provided.

Both type of sites work out great in regards to hook ups and etc. There is alot more room in the premium site. The dog park is awesome. Everyone is great about picking up after their dogs. My only concern is the amount of cigeratte butts on the ground through out the campground including the children's park. They do have weekly and monthly rates. WiFi was good for checking emails and etc.

We stayed at this campground last fall. It's easy access, clean spacious sites and how quiet it is considering it's proximity to S.R. 421 brought us back again. We visited Indiana Dunes National Park and State Park, also jumped on the South Shoreline commuter train that took us into downtown Chicago for a day trip.

The other big downside to this campground is the water is sulfurous and soft, leaving you with that slippery/slimy feeling when you shower. The pool is very nice and laundry is cheap, so there are some positives. Site is close to Indiana Dunes and easy access to the highway. Community is gated and secure.

The campground is mainly pull through sites, which is nice. The sites are not very private, but most have water and electric hook ups, some sites also have sewer. Our site was a level, gravel site with a concrete area for the picnic table and fire pit. Fire pits did not have a grate. The office has a small store with firewood, souvenirs, and other dry goods. The bathroom/shower house was very clean. They have a large in ground pool(we did not use because it was too cold). We thought the campground was clean and well maintained. They provide wi-fi which was nice. There is also a closed gate requiring a key card to enter, which is nice for safety. You can hear some noise from the highway. We stayed here because it was close to Indiana Dunes National Park. We plan to stay here again. I gave the site quality only 4 stars because the lack of privacy.

Wow, our preconceived notions were wrong. This is a fantastic park. Now, we were in the back areas which felt much better to us. The front lot is pretty barren. But our site had nice tress, easy pull-throughs, great hooks and a shared concrete patio with two picnic tables and two firepits. It was great. Then the park got better. They have two ponds for fishing (yes we caught bluegills) and a super impressive pool area. Overall everything was clean, the shop affordable and the people very nice.

However when we arrived we were put in spot 50 again...the "Grand Central Station" spot and hated it. We were told the spots out front are for long term guests and we should have never been told we'd get one of them. We will never stay here again due to the run around about spots, other campers that don't seem to understand the rules state to not cut through other folks camp spots. No one had any respect for the fact that we were sitting outside on the concrete pad on our site and they just walked on through as if we weren't there. We stayed here one night (17Aug2019). Did not care for our spot (50). The reason is because it was “Grand Central Station”. Everyone, and I mean everyone used our site to cut through from the pool. If you have young ones or kids wanting to swim this would be a great site for you. However, if you you prefer some more quiet area I’d recommend the section out front by gate (201-251). Water & electric available at sites. There is a dump station & propane available. A small convenience store in main office with your basics (milk, eggs, junk food, etc). Pool is salt water and clean. Shower/toilet house is cramped and no thanks to other campers who don’t have respect for others or the property they are using, they get dirty and trashed quickly. There are quite a few full-timers. Most of them keep their area clean & maintained...others have “junk” all around their camper & weeds as tall as camper. There is a fenced in dog area which our pups loved! We would stay here again, but would request the spots in front (201-251). There is a Speedway less than a mile from campground with a slightly larger convenience store & fuel (plenty of space for RV’s to maneuver).

They have a small pond with a couple funny looking red-headed ducks at the front. Friendly and helpful staff, level sites - both terraced on the small hill or in the flat area. We were able to get satellite easily. Gravel roads and sites, clean picnic tables, fire ring, nice showerhouse, beautiful swimming pool. Don't know if they have laundry, most likely. Small convenience store, well stocked.FHU with 50 amp, everything worked great. Good water pressure.Easy access from Hwy 421. Close to MIchigan City where they have everything.Note that when you arrive you have to ring the office from the gate to get them to lift it for entrance. So don't arrive after hours. Once you're checked in you receive a card for the gate for easy in and out any time of day or night.

Our site was fairly leveled, the water quality good not great. I measure the water quality by how clear the ice comes out of our ice maker, water comes into our coach first through a large sediment filter, then through a water softener and our ice maker has an additional filter, so if the ice doesn't come out at least 50% clear, I don't rate the water quality great. As for the pressure, it averaged 45psi which for our taste is lo. WiFi very spotty and definitely not the fastest we have used at a other RV Parks. I have to say it is a very clean and nice looking RV Park, the pool is super nice and clean and they have ambient music on all day, the water could be a few degrees warmer, it is cold and they advertise as having a heated pool. Don't get me wrong, I only give this place 3 stars because after 6 months on the road and had stayed in about 20 RV parks, State and National Parks, I've become very picky. Every single place we have stayed has room for improvement, so far we have not encounter a 5 star. And something that I didn't like is that the day that we were checking out I called the office to request a late check out and agreed to pay $20.00 to check out no later than 4:00 pm, but I actually left the park at about 4:45 pm and 5 minutes after I left they called me let me know that they were going to charge a full day to my card because I left the park after 4:00 pm, and they did. I personally feel that they could have been a little more flexible after I already had paid the $20.00
