Our family had the best time here. Everything was always kept clean and the staff was always so friendly and would go above and beyond making sure we had all we needed. It is about a 30 minute drive to Leavenworth but there was so much to see and do and that area that the drive wasn’t that bad. That area is still considered Leavenworth so they are not misleading as other comments have indicated. We can’t wait to come back to this campground!

In this video, I provide a walking tour of Thousand Trails Leavenworth RV Campground. The positives outweigh the negatives at Thousand Trails Leavenworth. However, the forest is nice, as is the campground. The electrical issues that others talked about are still there - but the no-power sites are clearly marked, they tell you upon checkin which sites these are, and they do not accept reservations for these sites. Well managed I would say. The sites are relatively close together but many trees provide some privacy. The pool, common rooms, and mini golf areas are clean and well maintained. Surprisingly, we had great cell service here - 3 bars with no booster!

Beautiful setting but the campground is in serious need of some up keeping. Would definitely stay here again when in search of a more rural camping experience, but it’s not workable for us because I work from our RV and there’s no internet and spotty cell service. Very limited spots with full hookups.

Good dump station. Fun hiking trails, and incredible fall colors. Drive in on Chumstick hwy can be vomit-inducing with a few very tight turns for big rigs. Feels like driving into Leavenworth is a chore. Power was out for almost every full-hookup site, and the ones that had power were under the threat of power being turned off for maintenance any day. We moved to the other side of the park after one day, no full hookups, but had 30-amp and water. After a few days the water was disconnected due to freezing, they have a water refill station near the entrance.

Stayed for one week. Park was not big friendly. Cutoff tree stumps covered by brush at the beginning of sites. Electric was going on and off even for 30 amps. Was told repairs were in the near future. Park was scenic and loaded with trails. Staff was friendly. Roads were very dusty

Same problems have been identified but no improvement that I can see.THE POSITIVE: This facility had a large well-kept pool, but closed due to the COVID virus. Walking Trails were plentiful, some of the facilities were fairly recently built but closed. I am glad the campground was open as many things are still closed due to COVID. The staff is friendly and helpful at the front and on the phone. There are many things to do nearby, including visiting Leavenworth itself. THE NEGATIVE: Sites are very close and dusty due to the quality of the gravel road. Traffic here is high. Yes after several years, some sites still have signs stating the electrical is broken. Water fixtures pouring water on to the ground labeled that they are scheduled to be repaired, but leaking since I got here. When I say"leaked" it was more of a stream of water. Seldom did you see staff out in the park monitoring anything? Many sites are unusable due to size and shape, poorly graded or trees in the way. Sites are mostly dirt. I'll stop there. I would stay here again only because I didn't pay $67 a night. I don't think it's worth that much money, but during the summer you'll need to reserve early! Am I being negative? I hope not. Just realistic.

Being new to this life on the road and new to Thousand Trails we were thrown off by the find your own site policy of Thousand Trails, and at the time they had a number of sites closed due to power and / or water problems. So it started off rather frustrating. However once we were settled in we fully enjoyed it. It felt very secluded and private. The drive to Leavenworth was about 20 - 30 minutes, which didn't bother us a bit. It was nice to spend the day in Leavenworth and then drive home and relax out in the woods. It is also very close to Plain, WA which has a great little store and Lake Wenatchee which we thoroughly loved.I made note that I had 4 bars of cell there, but did not make note of whether that was Verizon or AT&T and whether or not that was using the booster. So I know we did get cell coverage, but can't share much more then that.[Actual stay was 5/3/15]

We didn't mind the 18 mile drive to Leavenworth.
