This used to be a KOA and you can definitely tell. It was a nice place to stay for the time we were there. The employees were very nice and helpful. Only thing to add, they said the pull through site we were in was 70’ long but it most definitely was a max of 60’.

After dropping off our fifth wheel for modifications, we proceeded to South Bend/Elkhart KOA. We decided to stay two nights in a cabin versus hotel in town because we wanted area to walk the dogs and were curious to try a KOA cabin. Check-in was easy and we received people and dog cookies, and then were escorted to deluxe cabin 301. You bring your own towels and bedsheets, which we prefer anyway. They do have utensils, pots/pans, microwave, stove top, and a mini fridge. We enjoyed our stay in the two room cabin for about $150 a night but were ready to get back into our fifth wheel. The rate reflected in this review was for the RV site, which is an average price for a KOA. The staff worked with us to give us our site of choice and let us check in early as we checked out of our cabin. Upon arrival back with our fifth wheel, we were immediately escorted to our pull through site 36 with FHUs for one more night. The CG had a nice little trail and other areas to walk the dogs to include two small fenced dog parks. We got 3 bars on Verizon and 2 bars AT&T. The campground WiFi worked well. As we were in our RV for only one night, we did not hook up the cable (it did work well on the very small cabin TV) but received a good number of OTA channels. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is a nice laundry on site with four each washers/dryers and all were in working order! There were a lot of trees but that was part of the pleasant ambiance. Just pay attention moving your rig about as we had no problems with our 39’ fifth wheel and there were larger rigs than ours in the park. They also had four premium tent sites that had walls separating the sites and a covered picnic table area. After visiting the RV/MH Hall of Fame, pick up carryout from Taste of Asia Thai and Chinese, which was very good with generous servings. South Bend/Elkhart KOA was a first class operation and we would definitely stay here again.

It became a big stressful thing on both sides. Maybe they’ll have the coordination between staff worked out for future guests now that we requested no contact. Getting off highway at exit tollbooth collector didn’t have a mask. Doesn’t seem to be a thing here. Sites tight but not the tightest we’ve seen for highway KOAs.

We had a FHU with cable site, pull through. Our site price reflects KOA membership discount. We were on a end site and had a little yard area. Well maintained and clean. The staff are very friendly! Visit Jenny the donkey!

They have a nice store with RV essentials, some food items (basics) retro toys for kids and the best (only) retro soda collection I've seen in a park, plus coffee and pizza.Sites were level and it's nice to have some trees around. This actually feels more like camping, and i'm sure in the summer months it's filled with kids and activities, so if you have kids, probably a nice place to go. For a more quiet experience just do the off summer months and you will be fine. The owners are very nice and run a good operation. Laundry was clean and all machines functioned (i think they were new), nice machines! Showers were clean.less than 1/4 mile is a really nice grocery store, and a breakfast, and Italian restaurant. Also close to most of the RV Manufacturers if you want to tour a few facilities
