We were met at the entrance by a very friendly lady who led us to our pull-thru site. Sights are close together. It is located next door to public ballfields. There is a lot of highway noise. The price is way high. On the way back we are overnighting at Chewacla State Park, right across the road, for $29 with WES. I wish I had found it first.

My wife and I stayed here for work. Once we found the campground, (it is behind a little league baseball park and camper storage lot), getting to the site was simple. The woman who checked us in was VERY friendly. She gave us lots of directions and idea for things to do in the area. I agree with other reviewers, this campground is a hot spot for Auburn football games. Other than that it's pretty quiet. We were down on the creek. It is a swift moving creek and the sites have very little grass. I would not have felt comfortable camping here with my children when they were younger. The shower house was in the building with the office and what appeared to be an apartment/residence. The walk to the bath/shower was dark, very dark. My wife did not feel comfortable walking alone. The campground is VERY close to lots of restaurants, shopping and of course Auburn University. We ate out most nights and did some shopping at the mall. If you are in this area go to the Mason Jar and have the chicken strips and a milk shake. You won't regret it. If you are looking for a place to park and sleep this might be perfect for you.

We were here before in November of 2014 but we forgot. We actually were parked in same site (A) as before. The utility placement is way up front near the driver’s seat. Even with two hoses, we didn’t have enough hose to reach the dump. The sites here are not level. Most, if not all, of the ½ circle pull thrus are very short. Even with two hoses, we didn’t have enough hose to reach the dump. The sites here are not level. Most, if not all, of the ½ circle pull thrus are very short. The sites are dirt and gravel sites. The interior road is paved and rough in spots. Some sites have full sun and some have full shade. To leave, you have to drive through the entire park which involves driving down one steep hill and back up another. Directv worked fine in our site but would not in all. They have cable but we didn’t use it. WII FI works ok for checking email. If your site is near the softball field there is lots of traffic noise from I-85 and College Street. IMO this campground is way too expensive for what you get.

  • Peaceful, relaxing site next to a fast-running stream.

I can agree with CeeGee’s comments in that the park could use some maintenance, and most sites are cramped and small. I picked up a good bit of trash while staying here and noticed trashcans that had been raided by animals and not picked up by staff. I picked up a good bit of trash while staying here and noticed trashcans that had been raided by animals and not picked up by staff. We stayed in site L by the creek and enjoyed the view and sound of the water. The staff were very friendly and interesting people. I’ve stayed in nicer parks for the same price. The bath house was clean, but somewhat cramped and strangely laid out. They did, however, use a better quality TP than most parks.

  • Convenient, but needs some spiffing up

It's pricey on those weekend, but reasonably priced otherwise. There are different price levels for pull through sites, etc. We opted for a back-in site. The pictures of this campground on their website make it look really nice and kept up. In reality, that is not true. It is run down. We had pieces of broken concrete blocks scattered about our campsite. Limbs had fallen down and were laying around. Basically, it had a "we don't care" appearance. A good cleaning up would help it's visual appeal.Getting into the campground is a tad challenging. The signs is small. The entry drive is just south of the community softball fields. Then you have a sharp turn and need to cut through a parking lot. The roads in the campground are asphalt and gravel, hilly, and a bit tight for big rigs. The sites themselves are gravel and a bit too close to each other. Each site had a white picnic table (that could use a good scrubbing) and a charcoal grill. There is cable TV that worked fairly well, but we didn't get a lot of the channels listed on the paper given to us, including ABC. The WiFi worked as well as any campground WiFi. Verizon worked very well. All in all, we would not stay here again. Small, messy sites are the reason. The tight roads to get in are another. There are other options in the Auburn area.
