The sites are generous & the grounds are extremely well kept. This is a HUGE property that winds through the trees, I highly recommend taking a walk through to see it all. While most of the lots are seasonal, all are immaculate & you can really tell that everyone takes pride in their piece of this oasis! We were originally booked to stay 4 nights but extended 1 more. The day we arrived, our little cat escaped from our RV. We looked around for her for days and finally decided to make flyers & let the community know to keep an eye out for her. When I brought a flyer to the office, Joan didn’t just agree to hang it and watch for her, she contacted local animal control to arrange for me to borrow a live trap to help catch our girl. Next, Joan asked one of the seasonal residents (thank you Will & Carol!) to bring some of their live traps to give us a better chance of bringing her home. After 2 nights of traps, we were successful & were able to continue our adventure with our family intact! This isn’t just a lovely campground, Joan & Dave have created an incredible community and I cannot recommend them enough.

Stayed from 7/24/21 - 7/31/21. Can't remember what site but everything is very spread out here with level gravel pads and tons of grass. Rates are reasonable but do not include electric ($0.25 per kw). Most sites are very shaded as well, with lots of huge hickory trees. Virtually no road noise and easy access from the highway. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Got chauffered to two sites on hold cart so I could choose which I liked better. Majority of the grounds seemed to be seasonal, and I didn't see many people during my stay. Campground is on the canal which is good for kayaking and the fishing isn't too bad either. Also a nice flat trail for walking/biking along the canal. Town of Princeton is small but nice, about 25 mins away. Has Walmart and grocery store, and for craft beer/whiskey drinkers the Barrel society bar is your place, lots of very good selections. Att on the peplink was good download (20+ mb) but upload was terrible (2-3 mb). TMobile was better at 20 mb down and 5+mb up. Overall really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back.

We drove to Ronald Reagan’s birth town and visited the free museum which was fun.

  • One of the best campgrounds I have stayed at!

Our site was nice and the grounds were wonderful. However, despite being told to run the water to clear out sediments, we still had a light brownish red water running into the camper. No smell to the water, just a cloudy appearance. The campground owner/host was very nice to deal with and we were escorted via golf cart to our campsite. We had a very pleasant experience and I would stay here again.

It is not far from the highway but has a middle of no where feel. Walking around the park it seems to be mostly seasonal sights with some spots for overnighters. I had reserved the spot months in advanced and had asked for a pull through but the owner said she could not promise a certain spot. When we arrived though we were escorted to a pull through full hook up site, which was a nice surprise. There is also access to a very nice canal path that is great to stretch your legs, take the pups for a walk or take a bike ride. we used our trailer bathroom so that was not something I can address. Overall this place fit our needs nicely. We even had cell service and TV reception!

Stayed one night here on our way out West. Picture perfect surrounding and very friendly neighbours and staff. Tonnes of room for our tent we were the only ones in the tent area. Also CHEAP just $17 a night for an unpowered site one of the cheapest we have had so far. Plenty to walk around and see if you are just here for a night.

  • Excellent. Loved it. Very Pretty, very peaceful.

There are lots of mature trees on well kept grounds. Campsites have plenty of room between campers. We had a pull through site that was super easy to get into. The new owners, Joan and Dave, are the wonderful kind of people anyone would love to be friends with if they lived nearby. They were in the process of making a number of improvements to the property. My husband and I are looking forward to making Hickory Grove a stop on our next trip out west.
