It was raining and dark, so we were already really tired, but I felt extremely welcomed and not an inconvenience to them at all. I didn’t get to see a lot of the campground with a short stay but I think it would serve as a good pit stop for our way home!

We loved this campground! The woman running it was so nice. The fishing pond was beautiful. We will definitely stay again.

There's also a black tank pipe at each site so you can dump your tank without having line of people behind you. There are also showers and bathrooms. The only problem is that the water coming out of the tap smells horrible (we had a $20, inline filter on our hose). Literally, just terrible. You're sort of grimacing while showering or washing your face in that smelly stuff. The shadier area by the lake is for rigs parked long term. The upper field is for short term. It's just gravel strips with grass strips between rigs - 10 ft wide. Management is friendly and overly helpful. They came by and picked up our 2 bags of dog poop that we were waiting to throw out in the big trash. Very nice people. For some reason there are no bugs here! It's August in IL and not one mosquito! Big fan of that.
