Very pretty entrance drive which continues into the park itself with lots of green lawn , surrounding trees, and a few trees among the spaces. A couple might block satellite, but we had no problem connecting. At less than an hour to Chicago, if the sites had sewer I'm sure they'd be full. As it was even on the holiday weekend it was less than half full. We like that!Good water pressure and 50 amp. The 50 amp breaker is near the ground but it's there. Narrow concrete parking pad. If it's been raining or going to rain while you're here be sure you're on the concrete. Although the back-in sites are very short - our 35 ft Class A had to have part of rear tires on the grass. Evidence at a few sites of deep sinking into the mud. New picnic tables on clean concrete pads at each site. Their WiFi works well for non-streaming. Very quiet at night, small light poles at each site and a few street lights make sleeping with windows open a challenge, but it's still much darker than most urban parks. It rained a lot during our stay and several of the spaces had deep standing water around their picnic tables and in front of the site. Ours was high and dry. Back-in sites require snug parking for your toad in front. There are two pull-throughs over 100 ft long. This was such a lovely surprise for visiting the city - we'll be back. Note the other park in the area, Martin, is right on the interstate and looks very tight.

Pleased to find this quiet RV park. Concrete pads, elec and water, central dump station. Easy to find and close to interstate. Sites are close to each other but lots of green space too. Our dogs loved it. ATT 5G one bar.

106 dollars total with fees and tax for two nights for a pull through. No sewer, no breakfast during COVID, and no pool. Nice place to stay if priced accordingly.

We stayed one night on our way through Chicago. Free dump station as you enter or behind hotel. Sites are good size and offer water & electricity. Stop at hotel front desk to check in and pay.

  • Very expensive and not even full hookups.

They will tell you the monthly rate is $900 but then there is a mandatory $10 per day amenity fee for 2 small bottles of water a day, daily hotel breakfast that is not very good, and a $5 a day voucher for the 3 restaurants in the casino. Trust me the food isn't that good. A lot of the sites floods when it rains and all of the back in sites are only two strips of concrete with soft gravel in the middle. Be an expert backer or you will sink in the soft ground. Noises: Truckers park in the main lot, there is a trucking company to the east adjacent to the park and there is a railroad track across the river. On the plus side, there is security patrol 24/7. If you like to try your luck there is the casino. The bar in the casino has entertainment on the weekends. And there are deer all over the place. Over all not a bad place but way to expensive. Will only camp here again if necessary. UPDATE: DUMP STATION IS CLOSED DOWN BECAUSE OF A BROKEN WATER PIPE. SO THE MANAGEMENT DECIDED TO FORGO THE $10 A DAY AMENITY FEE UNTIL IT IS FIXED AND PROVIDED DIRECTIONS TO ANOTHER CAMP GROUND APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES AWAY TO USE THEIR DUMP STATION FOR $20. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. IF I DIDN'T HAVE FAMILY OBLIGATIONS IN THIS AREA I WOULD BE GONE.

We almost didn't stay, due to a registration foul-up. We called two days ahead to reserve a one night (Monday) stay. We were told there weren't any sites available, we asked, since we couldn't stay in the park, could we park in the parking lot overnight - NO, which seemed crazy since once we got there, the parking lot was both huge and, nearly empty. After reviewing the park's website and seeing how many sites were available, we found it impossible to believe there were NO sites available for a Monday night and called back - we got a reservation immediately. The price, which includes a Good Sam discount, is ridiculous for a standard campsite. The back-in site was partially paved but for our 32' motorhome our rear jacks had to be in the grass. A previous resident had used chunks of firewood to beef up the ground but there were still pretty large divets. We didn't use any amenities outside of our site so can't comment. I think there is a race track nearby since I heard loud, revved-up engines late into the night.Poor customer service, poor value, poor air quality.

It’s fairly large and was pretty empty when we stayed. Site has E, water until Oct. 15, and a dump and fill station by the hotel. You get hotel breakfast (not great). Our price was based on the water being shut off. Summer price is higher. Our problem was with the registration process. Normally, you find a spot, set up, and then check in, especially when the park is practically empty. The signs say to check in with the hotel with no other details. There is not a convenient place to park an RV in the hotel parking lot, so we went to the CG, found a spot and set up. When we registered with the hotel, they assigned us a site number. We said, “Oh, well, we’re already set up in this other spot, so can we just stay there?” The answer was, “No.” They made us move. There were literally 80 sites, 5 of which were filled, and they made us move to different spot. We were only there for the night, coming from Madison, WI on our way to Grand Rapids, MI, and we were tired and very not happy about the move. We got over it and decided to blow off some steam at the casino. There’s a sign for a poker room, which leads to nowhere. There is no poker room. An attendant laughed and said, “the funny thing is that we still had it listed on our website last month.” It isn’t funny, it’s bad business; take the sign down. They do give you a sort of lotto ticket when signing up for a frequent player card where you can win free slot play. We had to call an attendant twice to figure out how to use the promo money, and we both have college degrees. The process is unnecessarily complicated. Also, everything is way overpriced. I’m not joking when I say that they offer just a hot dog for $5.99, and the couple of beers we had were way off the mark too.

No pools or playgrounds for families but met our needs. Good Sam discount.

In fairness, my adventure here was the second night in the new RV for another round of shakedown camping. That being said, I was looking for somewhere close to home that had water hookups at the site to test city-water into my RV.I'm absolutely not a gambler, so staying at the Casino RV resort was not appealing, but from the prior reviews, the property stands up to being clean, but it's DEFINITELY an RV park. This is not a campsite. I hauled two bails of firewood to find out that there isn't a fire ring. :(That aside, the check in was like checking into a hotel, again, not something that I would do under any other circumstance... I'm RVing to get AWAY from hotel check-ins. I suggest to have the front desk show you the map when they put you in a site, my original site was tiny but I caught it before heading into the RV circle. Since the RV Park doesn't have trees, there is no shade, and no protection from winds. When I stayed it was a bit windy and it ran straight through the park. All in all, if you are traveling through the area, definitely a great place to stop due to how close it is to I-80, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking to actually camp and have that campground camaraderie.

Anything longer should probably go for a pull-through, else your back wheels will be on the grass instead of concrete. We used this as a base to visit Chicago, since there are very few campgrounds anywhere near the city. The campground was eerily quiet--even though it was half full of RVs, we rarely saw or heard other people. Maybe they were all at the casino? Our AT&T and Verizon both worked well. We'd stay here again if we needed to stay in this area.

The paved sites don't offer much in the way of privacy but all of the surrounding area is green grass and the sites are pretty spacious. Some of the sites near the back would probably be more spacious, but the pull thru sites are near the front. Either way, because of the nice green grass and even more areas for your dog to roll or play ball, I didn't mind it. I haven't ever seen it very busy but I am sure that the daily rate is a bit high for some. The casino is an easy walk if you want that or a shuttle comes through the campground on a regular basis.
