We stayed for 3 nights in June. There’s not much shade, but the owners are doing a great job keeping the grass and new trees watered. The laundry room was immaculate. I’d say they take a lot of pride in maintaining the campground. Everyone we encountered at the campground and in town was super friendly! Loved this sweet little town with it’s quirky all in one grocery/hardware/toy store!

We stayed over 2 nights instead of 1 so we could check out the Custer Motorway (which was worth it!!) This place is okay. Check in was not the most polite experience at all. I pretty much felt like we were a bother. Did get the Passport America price though. We didn't see anyone on our down day. Check in was not the most polite experience at all. I pretty much felt like we were a bother. Did get the Passport America price though. We didn't see anyone on our down day. At the time we were packing up to leave, my husband was filling out fresh water tank and it overflowed some. A man came over a gives us a tongue lashing for the wasted water and how we are ruining his campground! So rude, didn't know who he was and a total jerk. I would not stay here again......life is too short for rude people.

This park did not disappoint. We had big pull-through sites (didn't even have to unhook our Jeep). Clean, well cared for, nice bathrooms (wonderful hot showers). Would you believe the bathrooms even came with all sorts of amenities- toothbrushes, razors, qtips, liquid soap and more. I can't remember ever seeing those in an RV park!Passport pricing was great at $18 a night plus tax.Our site was fairly level gravel and had a picnic table on the grass and was between a few mature trees. The best part, we could walk all over town. Right across the street is a 'River of No Return Brewery' with a great beer selection and burgers. Known for their homemade veggie burgers and salsa. A short walk downtown is a great bakery and the grocery store is less than a block away. The park is under new management and they could not be nicer. When we arrived, after calling to check on availability, he was glad I arrived as he had been worried about us when we were running a little late. The grass and trees are coming back and the owners are working hard to green the place up. Lots of young trees throughout the park. Lots of flower pots and a few mature trees. We made a day trip to Challis Hot Springs ($10 day pass) and also to Bayhorse Ghost Town - well worth the visit if you enjoy that type of thing. Lost of trails, hot springs, fishing and beautiful views in the surrounding area will bring us back there.
