Our reservation was for 30 amp, we wanted 50 amp but none was available. Also could only get 50’ site, only available, we were not sure we could fit our 38’ 5th wheel plus long truck into this site. As a result of these questions, I called office next morning and the nice lady helped me and revised our reservation to an 50 amp and longer site. Great customer service. On the way to Arco, our truck broke down and we had to be towed in (both truck and 5th wheel). The new owner was super supportive and made sure we could stay an extra night, plus provide an location to park the truck so tow truck driver could unload (easily) and load up again the next morning. Sadly the restaurant was closed on Mondays & Tuesdays so we didn’t get a chance to eat there.

We ended up staying down the road and both days we asked for they were never more than half full. Very unprofessional. Ended up paying more and it looks like getting less. Shameful.

We were on our way to Oregon and wanted to spend some time at Craters of the Moon. We liked the reviews of this place so we booked 2 nights. It’s a wonderful place to stay. Quiet, clean, owners are very nice and the diner has wonderful food! Strongly recommend it!

We were on our way to Oregon and found this RV park, and since the reviews were good, we stayed there. It is a wonderful place, and the food at the diner is wonderful also! We really liked the location as it was easy to get to, but not surrounded by a city, like some we’ve stayed at. It’s a wonderful place, stay here if you can!

(Ours did) Clean bathrooms/showers and a laundry. Lots of mature trees and shade at most of the sites. Good WiFi Definitely a place to stay again

They took over earlier this year and it’s obvious they are working hard at making it nice. Laundry and restrooms were clean, there are a good number of established trees throughout the grounds and it’s quiet. The best part is the restaurant they also have on site. Some of the very best food you could find; all from scratch and reasonably priced. The wife cooks, the husband waits tables. They’re originally from NC so they have outstanding bbq ribs, pulled pork, smoked baked potatoes and the BEST potato salad I’ve ever had. It’s not just for campers, locals stop by for dinner. They also have a decent selection of beer, wine and liquor. We had an issue with the power at our site and he got right on it and fixed it.

Stopped here after a month camping without services. Need to do laundry shop etc. older campground with new owners who are updating the facility. Restaurant on site had great ribs which we really enjoyed. Close to town for what it is, and close to Craters of the Moon. Great stopover.

Check in with Ryan was easy and very friendly. The park has lots of mature trees which provided lots of shade on this hot summer day. The sites are well laid out with good space in-between. The utilities worked flawlessly. We enjoyed a very tasty dinner onsite. In the morning we requested and were granted an extension on our departure. Don’t miss Pickles restaurant on the Main Street for breakfast.

A phone call later, the owner was as accommodating as we needed. After having just been in Alpine, Wyoming, this area initially looked pretty bland. But not the park. Given the ‘almost semiarid high desert’ ecosystem, the park is exceptional. Beautiful trees (which could present fixed satellite tv reception interference) provided great shade for sitting outside. Easily accessible from the main roads (therefore you have the trade off of some road noise). Any park that has an on-site restaurant with great food is going to be to our liking. No cable, but very good internet. Truly an oasis in the desert.

We enjoyed our stay. The owner is friendly, the park is clean, and the amenities were functional except for the WiFi. We were able to pick up 9 TV channels. The Friday night dinner was good - maybe a bit on the expensive side at $16.95, but the food was good. They also have a nice selection of wine and beer. We’ll stay here again.

We stayed here as a last stop to dump our tanks before arriving home. The bad - there's a ton of rules noted upon check-in and the owner expressed his unhappiness at running the place. When I called ahead to reserve a spot I asked for a site for satellite. At actual check-in, when I asked again, I was told they would have to cut some trees down (sarcastically), yet behind us one site that we could've gotten satellite. I should've asked to change. There is only one trash dumpster and they make it known upon check-in that you must use that can. They have showers but are 3 minute timed. We will definitely stay somewhere else when passing through and need hookups.

We enjoyed our stay at Mountain View. They have showers (included in stay), laundry facilities ($1.00 to wash and $1.50 to dry), and free WI-FI. There were quite a few rigs here, but it was very quiet other than being right near the road so there was some noise there, however that was not an issue for us as we had our ac running due to the heat. The owner was friendly and even checked in on us after we got set up to see if we needed anything. Spots are easy to access and all seem to be pull -through which is nice. All have a small grass area with a shade tree, picnic table, and bbq grill.

I know what standard KOA's offer, so I decided to try a "locally owned" option. I was pleasantly surprised. The campground was very well maintained. My favorite part was the 12' plus grass area's between the sites with shade trees. Many campgrounds don't offer this much space. The layout of the sites offer extremely easy access in and out.I did not use the laundry or bathroom facilities, but I'm confident they are well maintained.Visitors to the Arco area will certainly visit Craters of the Moon National Monument, however I would also recommend visiting the EBR-I Atomic Museum as well. It is only a short 20 minute drive from Arco. They offer very informative and educational tours. Best of all, it's a free museum.

The sites are stacked close and there are some big trees that provide nice shade, but will make it tricky to navigate out of some of the sites. This RV park does offer a restaurant, though we did not try it. If we were to return to the area and not require hook-ups, I would dry camp in the National Monument, as some of the sites looked pretty unique. They do offer a Good Sam Discount.
