OK for a stopover but not a place I would enjoy camping and hanging out.

Visiting friends in the area so we randomly picked this campground. Sites are close but relatively easy to get in to. Stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. Many of the occupied spots were not being used so it was fairly quiet. This could be a nice campground but the permanent residents really detract from it.
Just okay...

We stayed for a couple of nights recently as we had some things to do in Milledgeville. Not a fan of the campground. The lake views are nice, if you can get one, which is highly unlikely because all the lake front spots are taken by full timers with junky spots. Road noise from 441 is quite loud during the day (quiets down at night, and we had no noise problems with our fan on). "Free wifi" is a joke - it looks available, and the tech guy attempted to help us connect (the normal connection process didn't work), but the signal dropped five minutes after we got online and we never were able to connect again. The site was okay - pretty level, good room to pull through and find a good stopping point, but the site next to us was pretty close and the neighbor kept parking their truck two feet from that side of our camper instead of in their driveway. No shade on our site, though other sites had decent shade.Overall, not horrible, but we'll be looking elsewhere the next time we are in the area. I don't recommend camping here unless you're just stopping in for a night and moving on the next day.
