It’s all about Pj and Louie. Their genuine care for the property and your experience shines bright. I deeply appreciate the way PJ and Louie care and interact with campers, understanding what each individual wants from their experience. GREAT WIFI! Each site is nicely leveled with large gravel, picnic table and fire ring. There is also a nice white line to help you back in. MVC is small, quiet, and immaculate. While there, we enjoyed a bonfire with other campers (hotdogs and smores); karaoke night, two nights of music - one outside and one in the music barn. So much fun! Also PJ and Louie made a delicious Mothers Day breakfast for everyone. This is our second trip back and we have the next reservation made already. It feels like a little secret here! This great campground also attracts the nicest campers!

Welcomed by the owners upon arrival and this immediately set the tone for the weekend. We felt at home and at ease in this cute, small and friendly campground. Loved the fenced dog run for my pups and our site had everything we needed. Loved the Mountain Views and we have already booked to go back in September.

We also picked late October so we could see the fall colors and experience some cooler weather. This was a winning combination for a very enjoyable stay in the mountains of northern Georgia. Mountain View is laid out well, not too big or sprawling, with centrally-located facilities. It is well-maintained and reasonably priced. The family who manages the campground has a passion for their business and it shows. They are helpful, friendly, accommodating. The campground has fast and reliable WiFi, which is good, since cell signals aren't so great in the mountains. There is a laundry available for campers which was always available and clean. Driving into the campground from the main road was not difficult at all, so don't worry about that. Pulling a travel trailer through winding mountain roads in the rain -- well, that's another story, but it goes with the territory. There's plenty to do in the overall area, with hiking and mountain views galore. There's shopping and dining options in the nearby town, 10 minutes away. You can tell that the town caters to tourists, but it isn't overly commercialized. We look forward to returning to Mountain View Campground next year!

A great little private campground in a beautiful area. The owners are so nice and the campground is about the cleanest and most well maintained we have been to. The sites can be a little tighter than we like or are used to, but worth it for the quality.

In addition to the usual activities, there were also impromptu classes for line dancing and Tai Chi. It was a great experience! Can’t wait to go back.

Louis and PJ are always around (usually working) so if you had a question or needed anything, they were there. I have never met a more loving and caring couple as hosts! MTN-View is located in the northern Georgia mountains just outside the city of Hiawassee. Super location if you want to venture out for some hiking, boating, tubing, swimming, wine tasting, horseback riding, sightseeing, and more. Also a great place to just sit back and chill out. The property is owned and managed by a couple (PJ, Louie, and their cute dog Peanut) that reside at the campground; super nice and hard working couple keeping the campground looking good and the guests happy. Upon our arrival we were guided into our camp site avoiding any unwanted parking issues. While we were there they arranged fun activities including a movie night, camp fire night, karaoke night, and a outdoor live music night featuring good local musicians. Just fantastic. During our stay we encountered some stormy weather with lightning, thunder, and lots of rain on and off for a few days. The electric power remained on, as did the excellent internet, and most importantly the campground did not flood due to the higher elevation. Several campgrounds in the region were flooded, not MTN-View. MTN-View has rules that are fair and reasonable to ensure your visit is peaceful and enjoyable. Folks, we are happy to recommend this campground to you and we are looking forward to returning in the future. Happy camping y’all.

Louie even helped me back in our RV to our spot and went the extra mile to make sure it was level. The park itself is very clean and well kept, it is also very quiet. The surrounding mountains are beautiful and amazing to wake up and see. Hiawassee is a little gem of a town and only 6 minutes from the park which is great for groceries or shopping! This park actually has really great park wifi! Can you believe it! My fiancé and I work full time from the RV and had no problem on the wifi for 8 hour days and frequent video calls. There is a brewery and winery close by and they are both fantastic! Honestly, the brewery had the best chicken wings I have ever tasted. (Lemon pepper if you're interested). Also a few waterfalls close by to hike to.We also drove about 30 minutes south to Helen Georgia and did a lot! Mountain coaster, tubing, german stuff, and saw Anna Ruby falls!Back at the campground Louie and PJ always had a lot of things to do. Bonfires on Tuesdays and Karaoke on Thursdays. We participated with the majority of the other guests and it felt like one big family. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you need to! Tell Louie, PJ, and Peanut we say hi and that we will be back as soon as we can!See more on our YouTube channel: youtube.com/bonniebrenden

We were total newbs to the camping world and chose Mountain View based on online reviews and its proximity to nice motorcycle rides. We were won over the moment we entered the camp and PJ was right there waiting with her big smile and sunny attitude. Louie knew we were new to RVing and he calmly got us tucked into our site and ensured we hooked up everything correctly in a charming fashion. We had an amazing week and forged a fine rapport with our hosts who simply made our first time out as great an experience as possible. The campground itself is quiet, leafy, cool and meticulously maintained. Lookup well managed RV Campgrounds and you should see Mountain View's picture! We honestly did not want to leave and I suppose that is about the best compliment you could give. Without a doubt Mountain View will be a place we would choose to return to many times. { just ran this commentary by my husband and he informed me we already have reservations for some leaf peeping in November! } Wolf Pen Road here we come!

PJ and Louie are just fantastic hosts and they have a great sense on what makes a non-resort campground so appealing. They have created a real community and that feeling is contagious among everyone who is staying there. We stayed for 8 nights because our kids were away at a nearby sleep away camp. My wife and I both worked while we were there without any issues. Verizon service was spotty but the wifi was excellent for both voice and data. After work we would go explore the area or enjoy the live music in the barn. Our kids will probably return to the same camp next summer and we will definitely book another stay. Room for improvement: The sites need more gravel. When it rains it gets pretty muddy.Travel tip: If you are coming in from the direction of Franklin, NC you might be better off arriving via US 441 South to Clayton, GA then take US 76 west to Hiawassee. While the drive through the mountains from Franklin to Hayesville is very pretty that is one of the steeper highway grades I've seen in the southern Appalachians.

Smiles all the time. Their dog Peanut even smiles! The North Georgia mountains with mist across them in the mornings and birds singing beautifully . The campground was the cleanest and the best maintained in my entire trip of a month. On Wednesday night there was Kareoke (not spelled right, lol). In my 72 years I have never done Kareoke and I had a fun time singing Madonna, lol. They have entertainment on Saturdays and it seems like most of the campground shows up for everything to participate. I see Louie and PJ up early mornings cleaning and greeting folks. When people pull in the main entrance they don't have to wait because they are greeted immediately and they are taken to their site. There is a fantastic dog run and my two loved to go in there and run around. When I arrived I told Louie I didn't know how to back into the site. This was my first trip in my new camper. Louie took the time to show me how to back smoothly and perfectly into my site. I will return, this was the best camping experience of my life. Mountainview Campground is the best and if you want the best camping experience in the most beautiful setting make a reservation here. Mountainview Campground Hiawassee Georgia. Louie, PJ and Peanut

Surrounded by mountains and greeted by the owners, PJ and Louie, who make one feel like family coming for a visit … and we do feel like family! In fact, most everyone who is there feels like a distant cousin with whom you’ve just met, and when it’s time to go, you know you’ve made another long distant friend. PJ and Louie have created a ‘community’ for folks to come together and enjoy each others' company. Well done! Most of the campers we've met are retirees ... which makes it particularly fun on Thursday Karaoke Night … performing solos or some group sing-alongs with new friends. Toasting hot dogs and smores around the campfire brings folks together to chat and exchange the best hiking trails and kayaking adventures. Like most things in life, it is what you make it ... at Mountain View the scene is set for a truly enjoyable time. The community buildings are spotless and the pads, although gravel, are level to near perfection. We visited several times last summer and look forward to several more visits this year to hike, bike, kayak and make some new friends while enjoying a week with ole’ ones.

From the moment you pull into their campground, the owners, Louie and PJ, begin to treat you like family and you are their only guests. As a former Chick-fil-A employee, I know the phrase “ Go the Second Mile” and that is what they do!! The campground is beautiful with graveled level spots that Louie personally levels after each RV pulls away. There is Wifi, full hookups, a huge covered porch with rocking chairs, where you can sit and look at the magnificent view of the mountains (rain or shine). The covered porch also has fans, tables with tablecloths and a gas grill. Fresh flowers are everywhere!! There is a large gathering room for group events like campground karaoke, with Louie and PJ as your hosts! There is a laundry room and the cleanest bathhouses I have ever used. On Saturday night there was live music featuring local talent and Louie pulled a wagon full of ice cream around the campground offering one to anyone who wanted one while we sat outside enjoying the music. Some danced while others just enjoyed the beautiful scenery and stars. There is a huge campground fire pit where we enjoyed s’mores and much laughter. We don’t own a dog but I noticed a nice clean fenced in area where you could safely let your dog off a leash for some exercise. Our group consisted of 5 couples who camp together and it was unanimous that if we were camping in the North Georgia Mountains this is where we would choose to come. We made wonderful memories with friends so many of which were possible because of Mountain View Campground and the owner’s Louie and PJ. My husband and I LOVED everything about Mountain View Campground and booked another stay before we left. The owners love what they do and that love is felt by every camper who is lucky enough to get a reservation at Mountain View Campground!Richard and Janet

The bathhouse is small, but well kept. Water/power/sewer are all well located and work perfectly. The owners try to keep something going for entertainment. Karaoke one night, a local band on Saturday night, and Father’s Day pancake/sausage breakfast were all on tap while we were there. There were many folks who were repeat customers and that always says something good about a park. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to the Hiawassee area.

The new owners, P J and Louie are absolutely the best anywhere. We have traveled over 46 states and many campgrounds, but this has got to be the best for relaxing and having a good time. It is not a fancy resort with pool, spa, or exercise room, but the gathering room, music barn, fire pit and front porch where most of the campers gather to talk and meet new friends is the attraction here. P J and Louie become a part of your family and spend their little free time enjoying and interacting with the RVers during the campfires with s’mores and hotdogs and providing the great entertainment during the week. They really care about their camping families and are constantly working and improving their home. The grounds, bathhouse and laundry are spotless and the views of the mountains are spectacular from the rocking chairs on the front porch and many camp sites. Thanks PJ and Louie for a wonderful time and we can’t wait to see y’all next year. Carole and Paul

We loved our stay here, it is one of the cleanest campgrounds we have stayed at. PJ and Louie were fantastic hosts!. We will be back. I would give it more stars if I could. The view was great, and the friendly atmosphere pleasant. I only wish we could have been there over the weekend to listen to the live music.!

It has all of the essentials: Full hookups, fast wifi, laundry, ice, a small store, and the North Georgia mountains and surrounding areas of North Carolina are lovely. But it’s the owners, Louie and his wife; PJ, who make this place live and breathe. They cultivate a relational atmosphere where people come together and share their lives during their stay. Nights around the fire pit sharing a glass of wine and talking with other campers, or listening to a guest play guitar at the Music Barn while kids play tag in the background and adults chill out in Adirondack chairs in the shadow of the mountains. Our second to last day in Hiawassee I broke my leg during a mountain bike race. It was ugly, and we needed to head home so that I could have surgery. I called PJ on the way back from the hospital to tell her what happened and to free up our final night for someone else. When we got to the camp Louie and PJ met our car at the entrance and offered us a room in their home for the night. We said we’d be ok in our RV, and Louie helped my husband carry me inside. PJ offered to bring us dinner, ice, drinks … Anything we needed. The next morning people arrived to help my husband hook everything up and get things organized. This … This is the heartbeat that is Mountain View. It’s everything you’d except from a top rated camp, but you also get a view of humanity at its best!

Full hookups, gorgeous scenery all around and hosts that want nothing more than to see a smile on your face as you enjoy everything their campground has to offer. PJ and Louie are about the nicest campground owners I’ve ever met in my years of camping/RVing. They bought this place last fall and have been steadily improving every aspect. If you’re coming through this area, definitely stay here and you won’t be disappointed. Tip: try to get a site over near the fire pit and you’ll have lovely mountain and valley views (and probably catch site of some deer too). Oh and don’t forget to bring your dogs to meet Peanut and play in their new off-leash dog run. Check their website for musical acts in the pavilion at certain times during the month (missed this, but heard they were great).

They had a singing Saturday night followed by ice cream and s’mores by the gathering campfire. The camp owners PJ and Louey are so accommodating and welcoming. The first night we were there unpacking in the dark our son accidentally locked our keys and cell phones in the truck. Louey was nice enough to help us get our truck unlocked. We bought firewood the last night and it was hand delivered to our campsite. The extra little things are what makes this place feel like a home away from home. We will be back again for sure. And don’t forget the view - there is a reason why it’s called “MountainView” campground.

The showers were absolutely immaculate. There was clean laundry facilities on site. as with a lot of private campgrounds there were a lot of class A’s and super Cs, but they made a point to stop by and say how nice we maintained our pop-up camper. I really thought that was cool; it was almost like they could tell we felt a little out of place. I really appreciated how they ran the facility not as owner/operators, but as a host in their home. As you can tell from the other reviews people really appreciate it. Thank you PJ and Louie!

This location is perfect for boating on Lake Chatuge, Mountain biking at Jack Rabbit, hiking Unicoi or Brasstown Bald and visiting many waterfalls, including Hemlock, Minnehaha, Angel and Panther falls. We also visited Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Helen, Dillard and Highlands, NC. Andy's trout farm on our way home from Highlands provided a delicious dinner at our campsite one night. When we arrived just before dark, Damien met us at the entrance and told us to go ahead and setup our site before we needed to check in so we wouldn’t be struggling in the dark. We were invited to and enjoyed a great evening at the campfire with the other campers getting to know each other. The owners cultivate a friendly and inviting atmosphere and it shows in so many ways. The sites are level with full hookups, fire rings and picnic tables. Bathrooms are clean and WiFi was great. At the center of the park is a music hall with rocking chairs that you will often find other campers congregating. And there is so much to do in the area. On the first day alone, we visited Brasstown Bald, Bell Mountain and Hightower Creek vineyard right down the road.We will definitely return, and hopefully for a longer stay!

The right size to meet personable hospitable people. May the Lord continue to bless you guys and the work you do running and managing the campground. Hiawassee along with Lake Chatuge has held a special place in our hearts for several years now with its sheer majestic beauty. And you guys added to that. Mike, Debbie and Damien. We have spent our entire lives in the extreme southern portion of this State and we have close proximity to some of the prettiest beaches and sunsets along Florida's gulf coast but the land has no character and it's extremely hot and humid. So hot, you can't enjoy the beaches but for a very short time before it's cookin!! We enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back. Thanks for everything you guys did Mike and Debbie to make our stay a memorable one. James & Tina

Mike and Damien, the owners are super nice and they do lots of cool things on the weekends: karaoke on Friday nights, potluck every other Saturday night, and breakfast on opposite weekends. From time to time they bring in local performers to play in the music barn. Cell coverage is limited but Wifi is good and bathrooms/shower house are clean. It was convenient for us to take weekend trips to the Atlanta area, Gaitlinburg Tennessee, and Asheville North Carolina. We also took day trips to Dahlonega, Blue Ridge, and Ellijay for wine tasting and to Helen. Lots of places to hike nearby. Definitely ask Damien for local restaurant recommendations as there were not a lot of great ones, but he pointed us the right direction.

Recently the campground we have always gone to near Blairsville gave away our campsite and did not tell us until two months before our annual vacation. We found Mountain View campground online and made reservations for this Thanksgiving. Upon arrival we were met by one of the owners who took care of us right away. The site we had was kind of small for a 32 foot fifth wheel. The next time we return we will select another site. The campground is located just off of Highway 76 which allows easy travels to the various sites near Hiawassee, Clayton, Helen, and Blairsville. While the restrooms/bathhouse were small they were always clean and warm (average temperature in November is around 40 degrees during visit). This is a nice park centrally located to go and explore the North Georgia mountains. The owners are nice and always available by phone. Would recommend it those looking for a nice campground in North Georgia.

Mountain View stands out as one of the best values in almost every respect. Our Passport America discount got us FHUs with almost new equipment throughout the campground. The internet connection and speed was more than double the best that we've seen in 48 states. Cable TV displaying 68 channels and dozens of music channels was provided. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate as was the entire campground. The laundry was an unbelievable value. The owners, Mike & Damien were as pleasant and friendly as can be and dedicated to the camper's needs. The Music Barn is home to live music events as well as Karaoke and Movie Nights so lots of entertainment available. And the best part of this great value is the primo location. Located high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, a stone's throw from the beautiful town of Hiawassee, it is surrounded by nature's wonder. Easy access to waterfalls, hiking trails, scenic lookouts and even zipline adventures. We were there on October 30th specifically to film the majestic fall colors and it didn't disappoint. Our site was large enough to accommodate a 40 foot rig, motorcycle, and truck. It is a short 10 minute drive from all the stores and restaurants in Hiawassee. There is no traffic noise to speak of because the campground is located on a dead end road that has very few passing vehicles. The cable TV service is good enough that we didn't use our satellite and the wifi is awesome. We have never stayed in a park that offers wifi this good. Verizon cell service is good enough to make and receive calls. The music barn and "porch of knowledge" is the centerpiece of the park and regularly sees guests and owners gathering to share their stories. If you stay here and don't visit the porch, you are missing out!

I found this campground through an article about camping in GA and NC and called them directly to see if there were any spots available. The guys were very helpful in securing us a pad that would be okay for tent camping as this campground is really designed for RV's.Our spot was fine, though a bit rocky for our tent (It's not designed for tent camping and they did their best!) The restrooms were very clean, the grounds were well maintained and the views are so peaceful. They do karaoke on Friday nights (Though we didn't get to join the fun!) and Sunday breakfast served in their community area. Overall, this campground was great with close proximity to several water holes and an Ingle's grocery store just down the road. It was a great time for my family!

They have made this our very favorite campground by making it a warm, friendly environment that feels more like a community than simply a camping vacation. Everyone we've met here not only plan to return but are booking for extended stays. The central pavilion is like a magnet where the campers meet, socialize, trade stories, and become friends. All of this stems from the way the owners treat their guests. The local area offers natural beauty and plenty of fun things to do and we love being in the north Ga mountains. However none of that has influenced my review. The Mountain View Campground is the most special place we've ever camped and we can't thank Mike and Damien enough for all they do.

We are returning in October and have booked for 3 months next summer. That, in itself, should tell you something. There's so much to say that I can't say it all. The hosts-Mike & Damien, campers, views, friendliness, and family-like atmosphere make it so hard to leave. I was sad when our day came. Many friends were made while visiting on the central, covered pavilion.Pot lucks, breakfasts, musical entertainment, movies, and karaoke are held at the rustic music barn & covered pavilion. The rustic charm continues throughout the CG. The WiFi & cable are top notch, and we had good Verizon service. Most sites have some shade, and our FHU site was level. The CG is very clean. It is an easy drive into Hiawassee for shopping and is convenient to the neighboring mountain towns.I honestly think you'll be glad if you choose Mountain View Campground.

We enjoyed the community breakfast that Mike and Damien provided for everyone. Campground is very dog friendly! Our kids enjoyed riding their bikes and scooters around. Damien even brought their parrot out to entertain the kids for a bit! These are standup guys! I think the only thing that could make this campground better is some sort of water feature. Luckily we were not far from Helen where we went tubing down the river. Mountain view campground has just that, a beautiful mountain view! We had the most beautiful weekend with perfect clear skies, we were even able to see the entire milky way at night! I could literally go on and on and on about everything. And, it took a lot of patience! They do a complimentary breakfast every Sunday morning for the campers, pot luck on Wed. night with Mike and Damien providing the main dish(s) and had cake and ice-cream for 4 of us who had birthdays within a few days of each other. The campground is close to town and only about 1-1/2 miles south of the main hwy through Hiawassee. I made several day trips in the area, to Helen, to Murphy, NC, Blairsville, excellent location. Will definitely return.

After finding many area parks full, I stumbled across this park and was surprised by all the positive reviews. So I drove to the park to see it in person and was impressed. It's on a very quiet road with no exit, so absolutely no road noise. It faces a beautiful mountain and our site had full view of it. We didn't partake, but I heard that there's a "movie night", a communal Sunday breakfast, and a pot luck supper every week. When we left this morning, the proprietor came around to see us off and take a picture of my wife and I in front of our unit, then wished us a safe journey. For those of you with kids, there is no pool or playground, and it's not very near activities for them, but for mature adults looking for a peaceful RV park with friendly neighbors (some permanent, some transient), great hosts, fast internet, close to groceries and other actives, this park is a winner!

Mountain View Campground is a very peaceful spot, and truly has mountain views! The sites are good sized, the views are amazing, and the owners (Mike and Damien) put it over the top!!! They have a lot of fun activities available for guests. We were there on Easter Sunday and they had an egg hunt for the kids and a potluck. The night before we joined in the karaoke fun in their Music Barn, which is truly a fabulous space! They've definitely done it right! Our final night we sat around the community fire pit and enjoyed the beautiful weather, great company, and a view of the moon was remarkable. Thanks again for everything!!! We will definitely be back!

The reviews didn’t lie!! They were amazing hosts!! They were so much fun, so friendly, and they keep the place sparkling clean and offer great entertainment. They had several activities planned including karaoke and an Easter pot luck dinner. we had a great time with karaoke but we couldn’t attend the pot luck because we had to get back home. It rained so hard our first night and we were in a tent. Damien texted us and told us if we were getting wet we could take cover in a nearby cabin until the rain subsided. The bathrooms were so clean, smelled wonderful, and the shower was warm and perfectly operating. Another very important thing I forgot to mention was the incredible view both from our camp site and also from the community fire pit. It was outstanding and peaceful. I had to take a picture to put as my home screen wall paper it was so beautiful. I look so forward to staying with them again!!

When we arrived Mike gladly welcomed us and helped us get set up. This was our first trip to the North Georgia mountains and I wouldn't try any other campground in the area. This campground has a really nice view of the mountains, hence its name, and it's a relaxing place to stay. The RV sites are full hook-up including cable. It has excellent free Wi-Fi all over the campground. The owners/hosts (Mike and Damien) make you feel like they are welcoming you to their home. Both Mike and Damien go above and beyond to make your stay feel "just like at home". They provide an amazing level of hospitality that has set the bar really high for future trips to different campgrounds/rv parks. We loved our experience here and are already making plans for our next trip back.

We had entertainment one night while we were there, we had a pot luck Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday with Damien and Michael providing turkeys. The community fire pit was a big hit. We met some really nice people and already booked our stay for next year. PLEASE consider staying at this campground, you will not regret it. Thanks Damien and Michael

Upon arrival they made sure we were hooked up to cable and always ask if everything is going well. They are extremely laid back and attentive at the same time. The campground is small enough to make it easy to get around and a sense of community is ever present. Weekly breakfasts, movies, occasional live music performances just add to the total experience. Full hookups, free laundry on site ( donations accepted), spotless bathrooms (heated) and plenty of firewood for chilly mornings and evenings and free WiFi (excellent reception). Park and utilities very well maintained. My only complaint is the entrance driveway is extremely rough which wouldn’t be a problem if it weren’t so steep. My rig is a fifth wheel light that I tow with a half ton truck. Is is sensitive to weight distribution as a result. The steepness caused my fifth wheel RV to lift and the rear wheels of my truck to lose traction coming into the park. I actually had to shift into 4WD to pull the hill entering the park. A typical motorhome or heavy pin weight fiver or TT should have no problem, but take it slow. It’s a lot rougher than it looks.Other than that, this park is a great place to get away for a peaceful, quiet stay.

Friendly, helpful campground owners, spacious sites, beautiful views, and even lightning fast wifi. There was a concert Saturday night at the Music Barn (free for campers) that we really enjoyed. Immaculate bathhouse, nice landscaping, close to shopping and restaurants. Some nice hikes and Lake Chatuge for boating are very close by; tons of mountain towns and state parks within an hour or so. All sites are back-in, full hook up. Only real negative I can think of is the steep and rough driveway into the campground, but that wasn't a big deal....just bumpy.

Beautiful green grass, mountain views, rustic feels yet full hook-ups. But it is the new owners who make the place. They live on the grounds and are available at a moments notice. They guide you to your spot and are just fun to be around. That seems to filter down and makes the other campers happy and friendly. We were there for the eclipse and they had entertainment for the weekend- movies every night and a fantastic country artist in concert at the barn on Monday. The park was 100% full yet never felt crowded. Sites were grass, level. The park is close to shopping and restaurants. We will be back in Georgia in the spring and look forward to staying here again. Only thing missing is a dog park but they already have plans to add that soon.

Luckily for us, this campground didn't disappoint. This was supposed to be a 3-day stay before we headed to North Carolina, but after 2 days we extended for a couple more weeks, followed by a couple more, and before we knew it we stayed here for over 2 months! The new owners are awesome and make everyone that stays here feel like family. I also love the fact that they built the picnic tables themselves, amongst other things and if you visit you should ask to see Damien's landscape photography and drone footage! You're surrounded by stunning mountain views, which make the bonfires that much more enjoyable and there's even an old barn where they occasionally have cookouts, live music, karaoke, or play movies. The wi-fi is the best we've had at a campground so far, which is important for us since we work on the road and the FREE laundry is definitely a plus since we don't have a w/d in our 35 ft RV.Best of all, you're smack dab in the North Georgia mountains and close to state parks, lakes, and hiking trails. This place was affordable, safe, and gave us the flexibility to explore nearby mountain towns, or venture out a couple hours and spend time in North Carolina (you're actually less than 30 min. from the NC border). While you're nestled in the mountains, there's an Ingles grocery store, Rite-Aid, and hardware store less than 10 minutes away and a Walmart and Home Depot about 30 minutes away in Blairsville. If you've never been, be sure to check out Brasstown Bald, which is the highest point in GA, less than 30 minutes away, and has jaw dropping views! We did mention the driveway being rather bumpy to the owners and were told that they plan to level it out more in the future, but the previous owner actually installed an old bridge as the driveway, which is why it's that way. Even though it could use some improvement, that added part of history makes me appreciate the driveway a bit more now. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again if we come back to this area.

The two guys that own it are incredibly nice and so very accommodating. They made sure that we were happy and settled into our spot. The price given is with Passport America. No restrictions! There are full time residents here, but they are nice and really make you feel like they are proud of their home. They helped us as well find things and let us know about a campfire they were going to have. The first couple sites on the left are nice, decently spaced. The sites to the right seemed a bit closer. One of the greatest things about this campground. FREE LAUNDRY! They really only have 1 washer and 1 dryer, so that could create some problems if the campground is full since you share it with the residents. They had a set for themselves but I think they are trying to keep that separate. One of the owners is also a photographer and has group outings every once in a while and they are free as well. There is a picnic area and a couple grills. They are dog friendly and I didn't see any restrictions as long as they are well mannered and you pick up after them. The location is nice, it's just a 5-10 minute drive into town and to Lake Chatuge. There isn't much to do in the the city. It is about 45 minutes to Blue Ridge that had a cute down town and train station for a scenic train ride to Tennessee. One of the negatives would be the driveway leading up to the office and campground. It's steep and the driveway is broken into chunks. Also would have liked to have seen some dog pick up stations. There isn't a lot of space for parking your vehicle and no overflow parking that we could see. There was definitely not a lot to complain about. We were only going to be there 3 nights and then we ended up staying 6. It's around 45 minutes to some of the major hikes in the area, so not too bad. This campground is still very new and so they are definitely on their way to 5 stars. They are just figuring out the business of a campground and finishing up things that need to be done. They provide free wifi, which you might need to use because service for us with Verizon would go in and out. Same with friends staying with us who had AT&T. It would say you have service but wouldn't load. That was another nice thing about this place that might change in the future. They do not charge for extra people. All in all we would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. There were campgrounds that were closer to the lakes, but the price with Passport America made it worth it for us.
