Just put them in the request section of the booking form. Within 3 min I had made my booking. And when I get there, they tell me that they had to put me somewhere else because the spaces I requested weren’t available! ???? Then we find out the the Fishing Lake is a “catch and release” Lake. The sites were very narrow and not level. I realize now that the KOA Journey is just for stop overs and not for a prolonged stay due to the “big rigs” filing in every evening and gone by 10a the next day. We won’t be staying at a KOA Journey anytime soon. I guess it’s good just as a stop over, on your way to your destination.

Might be ok for overnight stay. Sites for bigger rigs in the “rally area” are horrible. Nothing is level and you’re on top of your neighbors. Our canopy literally hangs over the top of our neighbors camper. Staff is great. Grounds need a lot of help.

However, I would note that cabins or RV, the next door freeway is just like a waterfall, loud and constant, if lacking the beauty and spraying mist. Cell service is also perplexing. Perhaps it’s the concentration of elbow to elbow campers galore, but that this is a relatively metropolitan area it’s curious that the Verizon signal works just okay for as many moments as it simply doesn’t work at all.

  • It's a KOA Journey, should be a KOA trailer park and parking lot

The check in was easy and the people friendly. We were led to our site and when he left we looked and we weren’t even close to level. So, we unhooked the car and repositioned the RV and were very surprised how level it was considering what the site looked like. Once we were setup our cookies were delivered. We decided to use the car and explore the area a bit, since it was unhooked. The Whistle Stop Cafe from the movie Fried Green Tomatoes was a short drive away and worth a look if you’ve seen the movie. We also walked around the park a bit. Our site was under trees and very narrow, we had to move our picnic table almost into the site next to us to get out of the RV. There are sites down the hill, the 100’s, that appear more level and roomier and these have chimineas. Our site didn’t have any fire pit and honestly didn’t really have room for one. But, it was OK for one night. We ordered pizza, chicken fingers and poppers from the office and had them delivered. Not amazing food, but I didn’t have to cook. They will also deliver items from the store, if you don’t want to go in and shop due to Covid. There were quite a few long term trailers and some were a little worse for the wear. But we didn’t have a problem with anyone. If we needed to stay here again I would request a spot in the 100 section. It’s also easier to leave from there, we had a turn on our way out that was a little tight.

Picturesque setting within tall trees but sites are close and not clearly defined / separated. Clean but maintenance is lacking. There is a new section with long pull-thrus and full hookups. Those sites appeared to be level but they are very close (awning nearly touching neighbor's slideout).Very convenient location for traveling, right off I 75. The road noise was not an issue for us.FYI - our GPS landed us on the correct road but about a mile short of the campground.

The directions on our GPS were wrong - it told us to turn right off the highway, then left, but luckily there was a sign telling us to turn right on N. Frontage Rd. After we arrived, the guy that took us to our site told us they were arguing with Google because the street name is wrong in their database.Anyway, our pull through site was level. The sites look like they were asphalt at one time, but the asphalt has deteriorated. Some of the other sites are sloped and make it hard to level. 50A service, water, sewer and cable. We did not use the wi fi. The sites are a little tight. Laundry and showers are available, but we did not use them. It is right off I-75, and we could hear highway noise during the night. This is an older KOA, good for a one night stop. Make sure you ask for a level site if you stay here. We would stay again.
