We were in the front area which is paved roads with grass, dirt (not sand) sites. If lucky you get a concrete patio and/or a lightly used site without muddy ruts. Fortunately it didn’t rain while we stayed. It would be soft and muddy. Really needs gravel for parking. Otherwise a flat herring bone parking lot with no shade.Well maintained with a friendly staff. Will stay again to visit friends.

Well maintained 'daily' but old and worn out, the few cement picnic pads are cracked/crushed/displaced with more ankle sprains waiting to happen. Sites in front are vastly not level, with some exceptions. Rural ambiance but 3-10 mi to "everything you could need". Awesome natural resources easily accessed in region. Not "tourist" area if "tourist" means to you 'buying expensive tickets' & 'hours long lines' to eat. Excellent area for tooting about and accessing nature trails and rivers/streams, state/national parks, historical and geographical sights and towns/villages to explore and appreciate! Pool area is nice but small pool. Well kept, sparkling clean water. Major hwys/interstate/tollways easily accessed. Also noisy at times, loud sirens often.Great staff--Jane, Joe, Ken. Try hard to assist in order to make stay pleasant. These staff work very hard for visitors, and still try to get acquainted. Many 'nice' campers that vastly are here vacationing for days/weeks, who clearly have taken the rules and the etiquette of camping to heart. Sites are narrow, some cramped, but almost all are good length large rig+vehicle. All are FHU. MANY permanent/annual. Several junky/unkempt sites. Typical FL rainstorm 3" in 8-10 h (but often 2-4"/h) so that's practically just a Spring shower yet Whole area flooding.LAKE with dog crap under & surrounding entire rig.2-5" deep, mushy. No dry/damp way to get out of rig, still 1 week later!!Read old reviews to check---noted flooding since 2017 yet site(s) not leveled, graveled, or drainage improvement BUT STILL SOLD/available to unsuspecting campers who are restricted from seeing sites before choosing one at checkin despite >dozen visible empty sites after checkin. UNABLE to give > 1 * for cleanliness when basic health, safety, welfare is compromised by flooding and e. Coli--both easily fixable by some grading & gravel, and strict pet enforcement on bad owners. Plus their directions to "empty standing water" due to 'Zika and West Nile viruses, and to control mosquitoes'. Really?! Recommend a squirt gun approach while the entire barn is on fire?Almost no TV antenna reception. Front section pull thrus. Mostly open field. Noisy highways and turnpike, trains heard but not usually intrusive. Cow pastures border entire west side. Site 23 (repeat) seasonal female drives lg pickup Silverado 22mph wrong way, thru empty flooded sites 34 (also seen thru 36 to save 50ft extra staying on pavemt.Walks her dog on empty sites despite the forest being 50 ft away, doesn't pick up 1/2 the time --can't pick up residue anyway!--stated she was "told by [office] she could walk anywhere'as long as picked up' "....clearly on handouts to stay off other sites, pick up 100%, rules delineate no using/driving/passing thru /affecting other sites. Pretty sure [office] didn't authorize her (and others') repeatedly bad behaviors, but clearly no one holds her and others accountable by imposing the $fines posted or even making them park at front (as rules state) so they cannot create safety hazards within the campsites--the longtermers should be the epitome of rules decorum not the persistent, repeated violators!!! Several repeat offenders driving 10-15mph over speed limit , wrong way+speeding, driving across several occupied sites (front and back)[ and thru empty sites] to enter/exit own sites parallel to roads rather than perpendicular in own driveways, & a few recklessly. Speed bumps won't stop them, only repeated and progressive penalties will. A few dogs running loose--owners don't even pretend they're leashed by carrying one, just open rig door and let animals go out.Semi cabs apparently allowed to park on grass not drive. VERY NOISY esp after bedtime when they pull far into your site next to your bed so they can back up onto their site across the 12-14ft wide road, dozens of vehicles, parking off of the designated driveways, even before the rain. Dirt and now mud deep ruts on OTHERS' sites. Time to police the park not just print more warnings for checkin packets. Any camp: Your 'vacationers' follow the habits exhibited upon arrival--hold your annuals/seasonals to the rules, the vast majority of your vacationers will follow suit.

Had 50 amp - clean power, good water pressure and sewer. there are some trees in the back and satellite was partially blocked - 2 or 3 satellites locked in with Trav'ler so I had TV but no HD which is fine. Pool was very nice, good size - not huge but not tiny either. Staff was very nice. Sites are all dirt and grass, you will track sand in! Close to the highways but no road noise. Bathrooms were clean.

A few things we encountered with our stay was not the park's fault but the mosquitos were bad (It was Florida in Summer) so that was expected. And the other thing was our RV got so hot mid-day even with the A/C blasting (We only have 1 A/C unit). We noticed a lot of people had car sun shades in the windows. We wished we would have bought some of those to better insulate our R.V. Our Internet was great. My Fiance and I work full time from our RV. That means 8 hour days of internet surfing and video calls and our internet was stable on our hotspots/routers. Mainly T-Mobile. We did not try out the park WiFi but we never do. We have a Pepwave Max with T-Mobile, Verizon Jet Pack, and AT&T Night Hawk with Mimo Antennas. We also got a pull-through site, so our 38-foot Travel Trailer had no issue getting into the site. They also had a cute dog park in the south corner and our two dogs loved it!The one thing we did not like about this park was that our neighbors were loud at night, however, they did quiet down around 9:30-10 PM. So it was not terrible. We would recommend visiting the Villages and Alexander Springs in the Ocala National Forest! Great spots to see. We filmed a lot of this visit and will post a video on our channel: www.YouTube.com/bonniebrenden

The reservation process through Thousand Trails was annoying, their system was unable to process online reservations the same day as your stay, and ultimately required a few phone calls to complete; this seems to be an issue with Thousand Trails, and NOT the RV park. In fact, we called the RV park directly to let them know about our late arrival and they were super friendly, even giving us a spot close to the front to make it easy for us to get in late at night. The site was grassy/sandy and included a picnic table, but the hookups were a little older and our box had some wasps in the post (which was annoying when trying to unhook the next morning). Wifi was extra and there was no cable. The site and park itself were generally clean.

Both of these spots are in the front section of the campground where most spots are in full sun but the sites are larger then the back side of the campground; these are spots under 86. Spots 86 and up are in the back of the park and seem to be more long-term residents with some short-term littered through. The campground is right off 44, just a couple miles north of "The Villages" community, because of the proximity to The Villages you can find everything, Publix, car wash, salons, gas, etc. But there are no sites in the area at all. I've visited one of the local parks, too small to even bike ride around. If you're looking for a relaxing place with good-sized pull-through spots, this is the place for you. There is a coin-operated laundry with 6 washers and dryers. The only showers in the entire campground are the bathroom in the club house (these are not noted on the campground map). The laundry and clubhouse are both in the center of the almost figure-8 layout of the park, both have parking outside the buildings.

The woman checking us in said the manager had to approve it and that all RVs had to show certification now. She hesitated but finally did check us in. The manager never did stop by to see the inside of the trailer.Other than that experience, it's a nice enough park. Not real big and very flat, so it was pretty easy to navigate into a spot. You're assigned a spot when you check-in instead of driving around the park to pick one yourself. We ended up in a spot that was next to an annual site. Ann was very friendly and nice to chat with. The bathrooms were cleaned daily. The showers were decent as well. Plenty of hot water. The shower stalls were a little on the small side but not bad.Be wary of following GPS as it did overshoot a bit so we missed the turn. There was a pretty convenient turnaround not too far from the entrance, though.

The pool area is very nice and the bathroom at the pool was immaculately clean. The only thing we did not particularly like is that the sites are way too close together. We were very close to our neighbor with not much outdoor living space, but at least our neighbor was very nice. She was actually one of the friendliest campsite neighbors we have ever had!

There was no problem checking in, our paperwork was waiting outside the office when we arrived late. I have received packages at the front office without any problems. Almost all of the sites are pull thru and very generous in size. Back in sites are along the outer edges. If you have friends in The Villages this is a great place to stay nearby. There is not much to do in Wildwood proper but you can get to other areas easily.

The park is pretty flat, but we did need to use leveling blocks both times. The park is decently maintained and has clean laundry facilities. It's not the biggest Thousand Trails park we've stayed at, but it's large enough that you can get a decent walk in. All the roads are paved and in good shape, so that makes going for some relaxing bike rides possible. The park sits about a mile off of I-75, and while there's not really anything to do within walking distance, you can get to the towns of Wildwood and The Villages within a 10 minute drive.
