What a pretty little river community. Village RV use to be Redfish RV. It has new owners who are doing improvements to the park. They have a cute clean bathhouse and a clubhouse with a kitchen, small store, TV room, grill out back.We paid for one month which was $375. Sadly, had to leave a bit early (after 21 days).Dale, the manager was always buzzing around in his cart checking to see if anyone needed anything. Our fifth wheel slipped off the jacks and Dale and Trip were there in moments and helped my husband to fix the problem. Trip works with Dale occasionally and was also very friendly and helpful. During our stay, there was a Crab Festival in town. The tiny town went from a quiet little fishing village to a festival ground full of about 10,000 people. Village RV filled up in one day. Dale handled all the new arrivals like a pro. He even had someone break a waterline and had it fixed in a very short time. Since this is a golf cart community you can reach everything in no time. Maddy's Grocery, a well stock well managed little grocery store is about two blocks away. Our favorite restaurants were The Fiddler, Roy's and The Bridge Cafe for breakfast. I personally think that Roy's has the best clam chowder I have ever had and the Grouper sandwich was super good.I would for sure come back and stay. An inexpensive place with friendly people. If you want larger stores or more amenities Chiefland is very close and has a Walmart. We stopped on the way home from Chiefland and had dinner at "The Lighthouse" Lobster and Steak. Yum! The one downside for us was the connectivity problem. It isn't the RV parks lack of service, it is a local problem that they are working to solve.Next time we will rent a boat and fish for sure. The river is beautiful.Dona & Tele
