I have been here for over 2 months in winter and love the massive oak trees and Spanish moss hanging from every tree. The number of old beautiful trees must be the reason that this park so quiet and peaceful. The RV culture ranges from travelers like me and a few workers. Everybody here has been friendly.When I walk my dog, the own...moreI have been here for over 2 months in winter and love the massive oak trees and Spanish moss hanging from every tree. The number of old beautiful trees must be the reason that this park so quiet and peaceful. The RV culture ranges from travelers like me and a few workers. Everybody here has been friendly.When I walk my dog, the owner gives a big wave and asks if I like everything. The green grounds are constantly maintained. I actually have stayed longer than planned due to the improved Wifi speed. We walk down to the docks and picnic table (by the boat launch) and watch the most amazing sunsets on the Saint Johns River. I don't fish, but there are a few RV fishermen on the long pier each morning.

Arrived around 3pm. Lady was waiting for us. Showed us where to back in which left our 36' class A halfway in the cul-de-sac. There are no clear site markings. Plugged in the 50a cable and got warning from RV that it was incorrectly wired and to unplug immediately. The pedestal has 1 50amp connector with no breakers nor 20, 30amp ...moreArrived around 3pm. Not near to code!Went inside shack (office) and lady was screaming at a gentleman who just delivered a dump truck load of fill. She was at the same time shouting at someone on her cell speaker phone. I asked truck driver if this was normal with her and he suggested I might want to find another place.While she was berating the driver, wife jumped in car, I got in RV and we left as fast as possible. The place looks like something described in the Steinbeck novel "The Grapes of Wrath. It's a dump! I don't understand what other reviewers see in this place. BTW, if you call to make a reservation, check out their caller id: "Perfect Salon and foot massage".
I enjoyed my stay and I appreciate the owners.

I had no problems with the site. I had a comfortable stay and I enjoyed myself. I recommend HALF SHELL RESORT.
