We found River Vista quite comfortable and centrally located to many activities in the St. Pete and Tampa Bay area. Situated off of US 41, it's relatively quiet. The "village" is on the bank of the Little Manatee River with great views and includes permanent homes (park models) as well as a large amount of RV sites. All full hook ups, some premium sites on concrete and paver patios and others on dirt with concrete patios(our site), most are nicely spaced with room to breathe between them. There are pull throughs for the larger motor homes. The pool, clubhouse, laundry, and library are available, as well as monthly entertainment options. There are large areas with picnic tables, fire pits and a boat and kayak dock. The staff was very friendly and helpful.I didn't give 5 stars because of a few items - there were still areas I will call "under development" along the river bank - so it was ugly to look at and some trash that had been forgotten. I hope they can get it finished soon. There was not a dog park, but lots of green space to walk your pet. And mainly, the WiFi - it was terrible. We even opted for the $15/month upgrade - and it was a waste of our money. I really don't understand why these RV parks are not upgrading this amenity. The park conveniently located to I-75 and you can easily travel to any major city on the west coast. Overall we have enjoyed this park over any other we've been to in Florida and hope to return again.

I'm a snowbird with a permanent site (over half this park is made up of annual and year-round residents and snowbirds like myself). This is an over 55 park right on the Little Manatee River which takes you out to the golf. There is fishing from the pier, boat launch, pool, laundry and rec hall. This was taken over by Cove Communities about 2 years ago with major improvements to sites and park models being placed. The costs vary depending on location of the site but there are several pull through sites for big rigs and a variety of smaller spots for smaller ones on grass sites that are yet to be upgraded. It's a very clean, safe park and close enough to the beaches at St Pete and big city fun stuff like Busch Gardens in Tampa. WiFi is poor but can eek by.
