We're under 55 but called and made arrangement for a short-term stay. We just stayed one night, and while it's not our preferred style of camping, we found the RV resort to be nice given the options in this area. Most of the park is filled with owned sites that are a mix of park models/trailers and RVs, but there's room for short-term visitors like us too. The permanent sites are generally nicely kept up with landscaping, decorations, etc. The north area of the park was very crowded/cramped, with narrow roads, small sites, and lots of golf carts driving around. Our grass site in the "S" section (east side) was much nicer, and even though it had no sewer, we greatly preferred that location (except for having to drive through the north section to get there) as it felt much more spacious. Since our site was grass, when we put down own motorhome's leveling jacks, they sunk right into the ground instead of lifting us. Fortunately we had some wood blocks we could put under them for support. Strangely, the 50 amp pedestal was at the extreme front of the back-in site, while the water hookup was 40' back into the site. Although the site was 60+ feet long, we had to park our rig right up against the road for our power cord to reach the pedestal. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, a pleasure to work with. Dogs aren't supposed to be walked on any site but your own, however there's a very large grassy area on the east end of the park that's fine for walks, and a surprisingly large fenced dog park. Cell service was good, and although it's near the airport, we didn't notice much noise. We'd stay here again for a longer stay when visiting family in the area.
