We arrived at the Campground early but our site was ready so we were able to get set up. We are across from the laundry, pool and dog park. Site D13 is a pull thru FHU plenty of room for our 25 foot plus tow vehicle.

  • Good enough to stay for our normal work week.

Fairly quiet considering it is close to the main road and an airport. They have propane on site, which is nice.Seems more like a KOA Journey, rather than a KOA Holiday. Clean campground. They have a couple of sites with really large fenced in living spaces. All grass sites. Though they were literally pouring the first (that we could tell) concrete pad while we are here.Good wifi sufficient enough for work and light streaming. Note that we saw after the fact that the campground asks that campers do not stream. I get the request. But, it is the first in our 67 RV parks this past year (2021) to directly ask folks not to stream on their campground wifi. Just odd. So, we stopped streaming to be respectful of the request.

Drives have newer asphalt, sites are being upgraded with fresh limestone aggregate, most are worn down to sand, some have concrete pads, improvements all over. Great pool & hot tub, but in need of re-glazing. Some sites are newer and have no shade, we were under almost complete shad of Southern Live Oak with Spanish Moss. Not much to do around Perry unless you're into fishing, hunting & boating ("mudd'in" too). They have the usual stores for provisioning, Walmart, Tractor Supply, Ace, etc. Just a good place to 'chill', and ok for overnight.

The check-in was smooth and the pull thru site was easy peasy. We were charged an extra $20 for a vacuum breaker on April 17th. We did not hook up our water during the stay. We have a pressure regulator on the end of our water hose and would not have been able to hook up our water if we tried (in our experience vacuum breakers will squish the screen). The owners took the time to speak with me on the phone and indicated that the staff noted that the vacuum breaker was gone and this was their policy to charge for it. I plan to dispute the charges with the credit card. No resolution provided and evidently the owners are out a vacuum breaker :(

This was a great place to stay. The restrooms were always clean. Clean laundry facilities. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Nice playground for the kids. The hosts would help you anyway possible. They bring you a fire ring if you ask for it. Will definitely stay there again.

Never had to see a camp worker as we left the next morning. Cell service for att was limited. Their WiFi didn’t seem to work at all. I didn’t see a pool or playground. Seems like it’s usually not full. We stayed in 18 which was a 30 amp 50 foot spot for $37. This spot is the side where the airplanes would crash if they were going to.... We passed through town at night and had no idea it was right by an airport needless to say the morning was a surprise when the first plane banked low to land. Very low and loud. Maybe that’s why the wife had a dream about an airplane crashing into us that night. ????

My experience with KOA’s are all the same, over priced for an overnight stay.
