The old pavilion park would be a better option down the road About 1/2 a mile right on the ocean and direct access to the beach less grass but you get the breeze off the water this a nice quite area if thats what you are looking for

  • Out of the way Friendly place

Came south for the winter and we were only planning to visit Florida for a couple weeks until we happened along Keaton Beach Rv park. This area is a Jewel in it's own way. No traffic to speak of. The snow birds seem to go further south and the weather here has been very mild and pleasant. There are no camp bathrooms or showers, but sewer, water and electric is included with a very low cost $375.00 per month lot fee. There are no slabs, but the ground is flat, hard and grass covered, so we had no problem leveling or stabilizing our 30' toy hauler. There is also a fair amount of shade. The sites range from a little tight to quite spacious. We don't require much space for our activities so we opted for a smaller site and have had no problems. What will make this place perfect for some folks is, you are only 1 minute from a very nice Sandy public beach right on the Gulf of Mexico and a super nice boat landing. There is also a huge new paved parking area at the boat landing.Fishermen will love this area. There are no restaurants close by. There is a store at the park that is well stocked and there are plenty of places to shop or eat in Steinhatchee (12 mi) or Perry Fl. (18 mi) and either town is a pleasant drive on nicely paved country roads with only the occasional car for traffic. We will be coming back here.
