Found this park through Campendium and I agree with the other reviews. This is a convenient, quiet, and friendly park. The bathrooms are dated but very clean; the laundry room was also clean. Located on the banks of the Suwannee River. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

  • Enjoyable.

Canals out to the Suwannee River surround this park, and new wooden decks hang out over the canals making a very nice sitting area. Although the park is older it is well maintained. Shower & restroom area are very clean, and although we didn’t use the laundry area, it was also very clean. Some of the spots are very close to one another so bring something to hang for privacy or you’ll be looking at the side of your neighbors rig, and listening to their TV &/or music some of the time. Seems there are a few full timers in the campground with many being “Snowbirds.” Nice restaurant on the water within walking distance... Suwannee Belle Landing. Good food and a couple of local craft beers offered. Overall, enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Quiet spot, Lots of shade trees, our site was level with good electric, water and sewer. The staff was very, very friendly, gave us information about the campground and the area. There seemed to be a mix of long-term folks, vacationers, and overnight travelers. The park is very well maintained, staff was friendly and helpful, and sites were large and were a mix of pull-through and back-in. Many are shaded but there is a mix so you can pick your preference. Over Labor Day weekend the owners put on a Low County Boil for everyone, which was a nice touch. Even with the river in flood, the campground was dry so that was a big plus. :) We were close to the front so there was a bit of road noise from 19/98 but nothing bad and certainly not a deal-breaker. The location is great for the Big Bend area and you are about 45 mins from Cedar Key and 30 from Steinhatchee. Gainesville and Ocalaabout 1 hour east and Chiefland (Walmart) is about 15 mins.

My site was dirt with a concrete pad for the picnic table but while I was there they were in the process of creating new sites as well as paving some existing sites. There are some wonderful waterfront sites and benches to sit by the water. The laundry room was clean as was the shower area. They have a fenced in area for the doggies. There’s also a small clubhouse and while I was there they had a Saturday night dinner which was great, all the campers were invited. A very friendly, relaxed visit. I would definitely stay there again.
