We booked 5 nights here to coincide with the annual PigFest BBQ competition/ festival which is held on the Expo grounds ( which btw was fun, great food and music!) We really enjoyed the stay, it’s a unique facility, spread out, with several camping areas. The staff was super friendly, as were several seasonal residents we met. The expo and associated aerospace museum are run by volunteers. Some stay on site while they work in the museum, parking attendants during events, etc. Camping fees go to keep the facility open. We had full hookups in a nice grassy field, very level. Sites are close but you have to remember this is more like festival camping. That said, I would definitely stay again even if not attending an event, if in this area. Note this is directly next to an airport (aerospace museum affiliated) - so there is plane noise but it is not a commercial airport at this time. It serves as an Amazon Prime Air hub, and smaller planes, private jets, etc. We actually enjoyed watching the planes takeoff and land as you can sit right by the fence of the runway. 3-4 Amazon planes took off each day almost exactly at 2:30pm and again at 8:30 pm, after which it was quiet for the night. Signage when pulling in could be better, since there are a few camping areas on the grounds. We called as entering to get clarification. Great Publix and other shopping, gas, etc. very close by. WIFI was free and some of the best we’ve seen.
