It’s a short drive to Key West. They have a few waterfront sites that have tiki huts which helped keep us dry in the wind and rain. The views are pretty and we enjoyed Kayaking but had to go out of the RV park to put the Kayaks in the water. The bad: The sites are small and you are crammed in together like a large gravel parking lot. It appears that most of the people on the none water spots are living at this park. There are no amenities. Well…there is a bathroom that my husband said was “alright” and there is laundry, I didn’t use either so can’t really comment on it. If you don’t fish or have a boat there really isn’t anything to do there. We were supposed to stay for 7 nights. Even though we knew we wouldn’t get our money back we left after 4 nights and went back to Sugarloaf KOA for the pool and other recreational activities. I won’t say don’t go to Geiger Key but be careful not to book too many nights there and if you don’t have a boat or like to fish from shore you might want to look at other options given the price at this RV park. Also, it gets pretty noisy there from the nearby restaurant but be sure to eat there, the food is fabulous.

We were on the water with a tiki hut. My boys enjoyed fishing and swimming. We were able to launch our kayaks right there as well. Good WiFi. The staff is very helpful and very friendly! Sites are a little tight but so worth it. There is a restaurant/bar on site with music. Food is good. It is not noisy at night. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards and take a fishing tour. It is a short drive to Key West. The only negative is the shower and bath is shared with the restaurant patrons. It could use a little TLC. I would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing tropical splendor!!! We had a RV rental that was clean and well maintained! It was located on the water with a tiki hut at our site and a picnic table under it.There is a very nice restaurant on the premises that also has live entertainment several days a week there as well as a full service bar.Bill, the manager of the RV site, is great!! We will definitely be returning to Geiger Key as soon as possible!!
Great little spot a short drive away from the bustle of Key West.

It's tiny, but we had a spot on the water side, that had a tiki hut and picnic table. The best part was that my hammock hung perfectly in the tiki hut! Our spot was full service and level. Everyone is side by side, but we had plenty of room for our 26.5' rig and car. Many of the trailers seem to be rental units, as we had various neighbours in the same trailers over the week we were there. So, there may be less spots available that one would expect when looking at the map. We were here during the low season, so more people were in the park on the weekend than during the week. The bathrooms were clean and the shower worked great. There is a laundry room, which worked fine. There is also a water side tiki bar that serves food, and it does have beer, wine, and fruity rum drinks now. They have an open mike on Wednesdays and live music Fri-Sun. On Sun, they also do a big BBQ. We enjoyed it all. Bill, in the office, and all the staff in the bar were super friendly and pleasant. There is a kayak/paddleboard rental place right on site, and I think they do tours as well. Very convenient to paddle around the adjacent mangroves. The park is a short drive (10mi) to Key West with all of its attractions. There is a big new Publix grocery store there, as well as tons of eating options. The sunsets are amazing, and we were lucky enough to see a nurse shark and a manatee swim by the tiki bar on our last night. The wifi here was absolutely the best we've had in the 6 months we've been travelling. Tim was able to download an episode of "The Walking Dead" in 4 minutes. And it worked from my hammock :).The only thing about this park that I didn't like were the biting insects at dawn and dusk, but that is not park specific I'm sure! The only other thing that must be mentioned is the air base next door. The jets fly daily, several times a day, and they are loud. No kidding, loud! The noise didn't bother us, but it may bother others. They didn't seem to fly on the weekend, though, and they might do an evening flight, but it doesn't happen late.

Our rate was based on a monthly stay, I'm quite sure it's higher now. Still, the rate here was in line with other Key West RV Campgrounds in winter. The marina is actually located on Geiger Key, a tiny key just north of Key West where the Naval Air Station Key West is located. There are only a few campsites there, with some permanent and seasonal residents. The campsites are very close together, and getting in can take a little work, but they are level. I would only consider the waterfront campsites - once you're facing the water you forget what's behind you. Some have cute Tiki huts. If you are in a motorhome, invest in extensions for your electrical, sewer and water connections so you can park facing the water. It will be worth it!What makes this a five is the beautiful water and mangroves. The water is crystal clear with lots of marine life. There are lots of shore birds, and there was even a visiting manatee when we stayed there. Truly beautiful and relaxing. There is a seawall around the property and you can rent space to tie up your boat (not necessarily the spot in front of your campsite, but somewhere on the wall). There's a kayak outfitter on the property. This is kayaking paradise, but the water is extremely shallow, so check tides before you go out. There are lots mangroves with "tunnels" you can kayak through. The are many fascinating critters underwater, including colorful little jellyfish. We also saw a couple of baby sharks. There is a sort of community here with all of the seasonal folks, and they are all very friendly. The place can be peaceful and quiet but the Naval Air Station has daily flying sessions (dog fights). We had fun watching the planes, they didn't bother us, but were noisy and may bother others. The property is mostly gravel, not the friendliest for dogs, but you can walk around the surrounding neighborhood, and there are dog parks nearby. The campground is ten miles away from Key West and it takes about fifteen minutes to drive to the center, since there is always traffic in the city. Still, it's pretty convenient to town. You can ride bikes in. At times we drove in with our bikes on the rack, parked in a free spot, and rode our bikes around town. There's a restaurant on the water right by the kayak outfitter. The food was good, and there was live music, I believe Thursday through Saturday. Prices were not cheap, but again in line with local prices. The restaurant serves wine and beer, no liquor. We enjoyed several meals there.
