Gate call box is situated too low for Class A RVs so you have to get out to notify the office upon arrival. Terrible setup folks! Old park with very skinny sites. Rigs over 30 feet should stay away. Hookups are on the wrong side so you have to drag your power cord, water hose and sewer hose (what?) under your RV to connect. Stayed in site 306 for 1 night and we didn't even open our slide outs. Park is located in a rough area of town and there are lots of sketchy looking residents. Bathrooms were dirty and there was no hand soap. The only good thing was an employee named Harrison. He took us to our site and was very nice. Other than that our stay was a complete disaster. Definitely won't be back.

However, it does have a small scale wildlife reserve next door where one can walk by the lake, look at plant life and see a lot of different birds. The park does have convenient access to whatever one needs, and it only takes a 15-minute or so drive to the beach in Ft. Lauderdale straight down Oakland Park Blvd. While I found the staff overall accommodating, we had some issues with check-in that led to us circling the park several times. This mainly came from bad parking from other guests as well as some glitches with the reservation system. I heard most of the rest rooms/shower houses were in disrepair, but we had no need to use them. The pool seemed nice though rather small. Use 27th St to exit so you can have a traffic light/left turn. Very convenient access to I-95 and not-too-terrible traffic wise except at rush hours.

We booked 4 days here but will only stay 2 at the most. When we arrived and attempted to go to our assigned site, there were three cop cars blocking it. Apparently there was an incident with a resident. This did not feel comforting. Management was very accommodating and assigned us a different site immediately. That was a plus. But all the RV sites leave a lot to be desired. This place is mostly permanent or semi-permanent residents. The RV section is just a small portion. The sites are very close together. There are concrete patios but very little grass. No picnic tables. No dog walking area that I could find. There are the usual amenities, pool, laundry, clubhouse, etc, if that’s what you need. Lots of in and out vehicle traffic though there is a gate. Just rather busy/noisy in my opinion. WiFi is good and reasonably priced. Maybe good for a stop over of if you are planning some days in the city or at the beach but not the getaway we hoped for.

(Free because we stayed here as Thousand Trails collection.) This is a very urban park. The RV section is the NE corner of the much larger park. There is a gate that you will need to get a card to and a code for the pedestrian gate. If you are not comfortable with the urban feel of a campground, then this one would not be for you. Check-in was a not straight forward, fortunately an off duty employee saw us at the gate trying to figure it out. The sites are insanely close, typically southern metro Florida and urban RVing. Generally, the park is in good order. Cable television is not included but is available from Comcast. Water, electric and sewer included. The concrete pad at our site was at the back for a travel trailer, not much help for our motorhome.AT&T (with booster) test: Down 36.69, Up 22.48, Ping 99.80, Jitter 5.28Verizon (without boosting) test: Down 35.71, Up 0.98, Ping 66.90, Jitter 13.53
