We loved out time here. The Casino is SO CLOSE it is dangerous! The area boasts Picture Rock, some incredible hikes, and so much more! This perfect location allowed us to explore the gorgeous shores of Lake Superiors. The sites were large with fire pits and affordable firewood. The sunsets each day were PERFECT!

New modern restrooms, showers & laundry facility centrally located. Pull-through & back-in sites, gravel with grass (which still needs to grow into a lush lawn). As with most campgrounds, laundry rooms are sparsely equipped with only a couple units. Ideally, camps should spend the $$ for the commercial upright stainless steel large washers & dryers that are becoming common in Laundromats that can handle large loads such as blankets & rugs. This is especially true if they are charging more for smaller machines than the downtown Laundromats using the large ones. Munising has a great Laundromat with several large machines that cost less than the campground.

Arrival was smooth after completely missing the entry for the park. Note, if you miss the driveway, you will go several miles to turn a large rig around. Sites are, by RV park status, huge. Our site was concrete pad, for the most part level. Oddly, the sewer access was set up higher than the pad and almost level with our discharge. This made it difficult ( impossible ) to get a slope. I noticed several other sites with the same problem. It’s inconvenient but usable. Park has a nice location just West of Munising and a relatively short drive to Marquette. Plan on hearing road noise from the highway, it’s no worse than any other campground located by a main town or city. Only one washer/dryer on site. $3.00 per load. Worth it. Bathrooms were adequate but not very clean….clean bathrooms should be a no brainer. Park has very good potential as they continue their construction. There’s nothing spectacular about the place, but nothing terrible either. It’s a nice safe bet for your stop.

We stayed 8 days in #43 and it’s huge! Perfect for our 42’ Class A MH. The lot was gravel and grass, and pretty level. The bathhouse and laundry are very clean, but only one washer and dryer and $3 a load we went into town to do laundry cheaper and faster doing it all at once. There is a nice walking trail for the pups right beside #43.

We had a large grass area and our dogs were very happy. The campground recently added a second dumpster which was definitely necessary. The location is great, not far from Munising or Au Train. The staff was very kind, and we were able to ship many packages here with no problem. All around we had a wonderful experience here. The only things to note: the water pressure would go out every once in a while in the morning. I believe this was due to construction (lots of sites being added currently). They only have one washer and dryer. The firewood was not dry enough and caused lots of smoke. We work full time remotely from our RV and our AT&T internet was smoking fast. 125mb+ download and 20mb upload. The UP is very remote, so this was huge for us. Drive a couple of miles in any direction and the cell signal completely drops. My wife’s cell is Verizon and despite her 3 bars of service she had trouble loading pages and surfing the web.

Large, open campground with nice space between sites, but no shade unless you get a site on the periphery and even then it’s only partial. Most sites are gravel at this time, but new concrete pads are going in as well as some cabins. A bit pricey for what it is, but worth a stay.

The sites near the main road were all recently made into concrete pads (like still have the grass seed around where they framed up the pad). The second row in from the main road was not very level. The sites are larger and would easily accommodate rig and trailer (there was a 43’ rig with 35’ trailer parked next to us, trailer was unhooked next to the RV). Nice to have full hookups as we’d been at some state parks earlier which are just electric with “fill and dump” at entry. The trees they’ve planted are still quite small and the road was dusty although the site was a heavy gravel that did not dust. Hookups are at the back of the site, so have your extended sewer hose with you. Easy 3-5 miles into Munising to play tourist. Cell service was good. We did not use their laundry at $3 for each wash and dry (only one machine each as of May 2021) but went into Munising so could do multiple loads at once at a laundromat.

Nice fall tree views. Very open campground with no trees. I was able to book online! Overpriced compared to what was right down the road. Only reason I wouldn’t stay again. Full hook ups, fire pit, table, and bathroom/showers. Good cell signal for us (Verizon).

The campground had a nice layout. The sites were spacious and level. The WiFi wasn’t the greatest but there was cell signal. We did not check out the facilities. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here aft.
