Turned out to be a great decision because it put our 43” fifth wheel in a easier to navigate spot. Don’t know if the pull-thrus would’ve worked for us with the way they’re laid out. Office staff was very friendly, extremely helpful, and accommodating. WiFi is pretty slow and Verizon wasn’t great either. You’ll hear some noise from I-75 but it didn’t bother us much. Kids loved the animals!! Definitely recommend this spot for over overnighters!

It was such a great experience. We will DEFINITELY be returning in the future!

On the GPS, it looks like it tells you to do a U turn on the highway and go up the ramp, instead you take the road to Waffle House and go down a road that runs along the highway. Fairly easy in, some big trees/branches that may cause some anxiety on the way to your personal campsite. We got a pull through site- which is a bit deceiving if you are expecting a typical pull through. They are pull through sites separated by roads in between so there is some zig zagging to get to pull through depending on who is parked when you arrive. If there are too many other RVs parked, you will have to come up the road and 90 degree angle to park at your site, which is fine but can be tight depending on your rig and towing. See campground map for better understanding of this. Our pad is pretty level and paved, no complaints there. We are on the corner lot with a bush outside the door and the grass area is pretty un-level making the provided 4 foot picnic table/outdoor yard pretty unusable. Our site has 20/30/50 amp hook ups, water, and double sewer. We are right across from the bathrooms, they are close enough for convenience but not too close if you know what i mean. ;) The bathrooms are outdated but I wouldn't say they were unclean necessarily. We used the bathrooms/showers multiple times while here and the water pressure/temp was just fine. We have loved the scenery/vibe we have at this camp ground. You are surrounded by trees and feels like you are staying at someones farm in a lot of ways. They have rescue animals (horse, cow, donkeys, goats, pigs, chickens, emus, and macaws) that line the side and back of the campground and we have loved being able to walk down and see/feed the animals. They have an awesome large dog park that our big dogs have loved. They have a playground, a little pavilion area, a heated pool and paved roads for bikes/scooters/skateboards. Laundry was a bit of a frustration as they were having trouble with water pressure so washing was always a guess about how long it would take. It would be great if they added more laundry facilities in the future for the size of the park, 4 machines may not cut it for everyone long term- but we didn't have an issue with availability. Laundry cost was typical at $2.25 wash and $2.00 to dry. The laundry room was a nice space and had a desk with chairs and a large table for folding and some chairs around the perimeter. The staff is amazing! They are so sweet, accommodating, and friendly (even with kids and pets which you don't always see, esp with big dogs and kids that are old enough to run and play by themselves). Internet/cell service is spotty. We have Verizon and T-Mobile for cell phones. We could use our cell phones in our camper but it wasn't always great. Phone calls/texts weren't an issue but streaming, videos, uploading, etc. proved to be frustrating at times. (Verizon 14-38.6 mbps, 3-4.3 upload, 47-232 latency but VERY inconsistent) We have T-mobile home internet which had 2 bars (12.1-33.3 mbps, 4-5.5 upload, 52-67 latency but inconsistent) at our site (we were told the site we have is the best for internet/cell access due to lack of thick trees). We have verizon jet pack, ATT and Tmobile sim cards inserted into our pepwave system and internet was still not reliable enough for my husband to work during the day. MIND YOU- my husband needs high speed, reliable internet to work. Generally hes looking for 10 to 25 Mbps download speed range and at least 3 Mbp. Sometimes it was good, the next it was awful- the service wasn't consistent enough to work. *****THANKFULLY the campground offered a paid internet option (they have everything you need to get hooked up) utilizing this we have enjoyed being able to stay here and work with no issues!*****We did have all amazon packages shipped to office, they would email you upon arrival. Their camp store at the office was pretty good compared to some of the others we've seen- having a lot of the basic necessities for camping, drinks/snacks, etc.The area is about 30 minutes to Gainesville, FL. It is a pretty small town but there are some things to do. We got covid while we were here so we missed out on a lot of exploring, but some of the things I noticed were: Lowes minutes away, lots of fast food minutes away, cute little downtown strip with resturants etc. within 10 minutes, a skatepark, publix up the street, Aldis 30 minutes away, shopping 20-30 minutes (walmart, target, mall etc.) There are some springs within 15 minutes or so, we did enjoy checking those out and doing some exploring over there. There is an RV store about 10 minutes away but every time we would have used them they couldn't help us with our issue. There is a mobile RV tech who comes regularly to the campground if needed IRV was the name. You can get groceries delivered to your site using Instacart (we did this while we were sick). So overall the area had everything you need, but if you're looking for lots to do etc. you need to plan to drive to Gainesville. There are a lot of sites! There is RV storage on the property over by the dog park. It appears there is a good amount of long term/residents but for us there is no issues with that. There were a handful of political flags/signs etc. which is a turn off for us- but understandable that each campground has their own rules. They did pack RVs into every ounce of space in some cases but I will say I am grateful when they accommodated us last minute because our reservation in Bradenton got cancelled for January in Florida in December (YES WE WERE STRESSED!!!) With that being said, no one had issues stepping over sewer hoses, opening slides etc. that's not what i mean by packing them in. I mean they would make anything work as a campsite in order to accommodate someones need, in Florida during winter- well if you know you know... They have a lot of land, so they made it work. (also I believe they were forth coming and honest with everyone who booked, I don't want anyone to think that someone showed up to a make shift campsite- gosh written reviews are hard!) We rated this campground at a 4/5 because it was a beautiful, rustic, functioning, clean, maintained, the friendliest staff, the dog park, and the animals. The reasons it didn't hit 5 stars was because it's not a resort and you should be expecting that when you come in. The bathrooms were not our favorite, more and better functioning laundry would be great, the yard being un-level made us hang indoors more than we prefer. Overall this was a really good campsite and we would definitely stay here again.

A little pricy but ok for a night. Nice to have cable tv but can’t loose the travel noise. 1 bar of service for T-Mobile hotspot. Our att and Verizon were both cell phones. No booster used.

We’ve overnighted at this campground many times and have had a good experience. Now the campground is under new ownership and they’ve raised their rates to $55 a night. We struggle to find this kind of value at this campground. Regrettably we’re taking this one off our list of “would stay at again.”

The WiFi works! There are showers and bathrooms that are very clean! There are laundry facilities onsite and a pool (although we haven’t been here when it’s open). This is the second time we have stayed and we will certainly return! The only issue is that our site this year is unlevel but all the pluses (and we are only staying two nights) make that issue minor.

I have stayed here a lot getting service work done at a local Airstream dealer. This is a pretty popular RV park for people traveling south from the Midwest or East coast. Each night during the early winter months, most of the spaces will be filled and those campers will start to thaw out after leaving the north.Well for one, the people who run it have always been very nice, they have plenty of space to walk Q-dog or throw the ball, and they have a horse, 2 donkeys, and a peacock right outside your door that love to eat carrots, or grapes & cheerios (for the peacock). Also they have a menagerie of parrots up near the office. So for a private park, close to where I need service, it suits me quite fine. Even just overnight, it is a perfect landing spot before you venture the rest of the way down Florida to your final destination. There is a pool on premise but it has never been open when I have been there in the winter months. They have monthly spaces up the hill and the daily/weekly spots are down below the office and are straight line pull-thrus (there probably is a technical term for this type of campground but I don't know it). They do there best when it isn't too crowded to avoid putting you on top of another camper and if you are going to stay a week or longer, you will likely have the row to yourself. They have their own WiFi network but I used my own access. If you want to hike, try San Felasco Hammock off of Milhopper Road or about 45 miles away is a fun, interesting loop trail called the Yearling Trail in the Ocala NF. Nice Co-op (Earth Origins) in Gainesville.
