We recently stayed 2 nights / 3 days at Countryside RV Park. This was actually our first camping trip to a RV Park with full hook-ups and we really had a nice experience. Due to COVID you can only stay if you have self contained toilets as the bathhouses were all closed but this wasn’t an issue even in our pop-up. The sites are amazing. So we’ll spaced out. Almost all the sites are spacious and level. We walked around to see other sites and they all looked like great choices but we really liked site 100. The hook ups all worked great and there were no extra charges for power. There is a $10 deposit for an electronic key to the gate for extra security. The owners and staff are all super friendly. During our mid-week trip the park was very empty but they did say during the week it was more crowded. The few full time campers we met were all very friendly. Our only complaint is the swimming pond was GROSS! Not their fault as it was closed most of the season due to Covid. It shouldn’t have been opened and we swam and got covered in gross muck. Luckily we found a really nice town swimming beach nearby to beat the heat. Overall a great experience and we would totally come back here again!

We wanted to be centrally located to Newport, RI, Mystic, CT, and Block Island. We also wanted full FHU. While the location worked quite well, the RV park was average. Several of the spots towards the back of the park are nicer park models. Site 55, which is where we were placed, was a pull through under a large canopy of trees. Due to that, we dealt with a lot of insects. Not the end of the world but definitely a problem. The park is gated and they will give you a key card when you checkin. There are some nice water features (ponds) in the park, too. Be sure to visit Mystic Seaport. The cost is on the high side but it is really fun. Skip on Mystic Pizza unless you are going for the movie. Block Island is very cool as well as Newport, RI. All in all, not a bad park. It just wasn't in the best location. I would try to find something closer to the coast.
